Product RRP Afterpay Price Discount on RRP Comment
Ghostbusters Ecto 1 $299.99 $225.44 24.9% Out of Stock. Historic low. New release. Seems to be living at a permanent typical discount around $280 though.
1989 Batmobile $399.99 $343.20 14.2% Has been $300 once, $320 is a good price, usually excluded from discounts so $343 is actually pretty good
Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse 51 $299.99 $199.99 33.3% 45c more than historic low. Seems to be living at a permanent discount over RRP, so $230 is common
London Bus $199.99 $159.20 20.4% Historical low
Sesame Street $199.99 $151.28 24.4% Almost historic low (DJ had 25%)
Harry Potter Hogwarts Express $139.99 $101.56 27.5% Has been to $89 before - I haven't seen that myself and I've been watching a while. Comes down to $105 (not often) and $119 (often)
Top Gear Rally Car $199.99 $119.20 40.4% Historic low (usual sale price $150). I have this set - frankly it's not fast lol.
Concrete Mixer Truck $179.99 $95.20 47.1% Equal lowest (comes around every so often). Seems to live at a permanent discount of $119, so RRP is bollocks
Remote controlled stunt racer $129.99 $79.20 39.1% Equal lowest (now harder to find and not often discounted)

Note this is an AFAIK post based on prices of items I've been watching - not checked against brickhawk.

    Post fixed..

For anyone writing deals, here's where the faq is:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/128793#sec:tables

TBH it didn't help much. But the link to https://www.tablesgenerator.com/markdown_tables# was how I did it.

    • Fantastic price. One left, but their postage excludes: Adelaide Metro, Northern Territory, NSW Regional, Perth Metro, QLD Far North, QLD Regional, QLD South East, SA Regional, Tasmania, VIC Regional, WA Regional, WA Remote

I know as I just tried to buy one!

Bah - who doesn't post to Perth Metro? What is this, 1828?

        • +1

Follow updated link.. Almost the same price. $200 ($190 with 5% gift cards… If you wish to risk delaying purchase that long..)

    • The 488 GTE hasn't been a great seller, I reckon it will fall way more in price.

Can get the London Bus from Toys R Us own website for $164 (+ postage)… just shows how much jack there is on their ebay prices.

Edit: still really appreciate the post of the others set so +vote from me

    • Note new link bringing the price to a low (just). And thankfully no zavvi

  • Few corrections for historic lows:

    • Sesame Street has been 25% off at DJs
    • Ecto 1 has been $239.99 at shopforme, free shipping over $150/200 I believe there.
    • Technic Ferrari 42125 has been 224.99, but probably not with free shipping, not sure.
    • hogwarts express has been <$100 from numerous retailers! most notable $89 at amazon, $89.25 at bigw.
    • Thanks. Updated the table.

      • DJs had no stock of Sesame St when I saw that deal, which is why I didn't post it (nor buy it - I couldn't)
      • Ecto-1 @ $225 is lower than $239.99, also free shipping.
      • Fair point on Ferrari, in fact Amazon have it for $229, but I just got it right now for $191 from this deal.
      • Hogwarts Express @ Amazon for $89 was a blip, see https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07BLG43H2.
And BigW hasn't had stock of HE at $89 in a long time

EDIT: Didn't see that you were just correcting historic lows. I think you added that text as I was replying. Either way, no probs.

  • Thanks for the effort you put into this. Picked up the Ecto-1.

  • Thanks for sharing, also picked up the Ecto-1!
Looking to find a good priced Ferris Wheel set now

    • It's retired. No chance.

I started mine a while ago then got distracted by lego cars. Still sitting there for another day lol.

      • Damn..I was looking at prices online and surprised to see it at $600-700!
I just picked up the Roller Coast set for $335.10 from here

Seems to be one of the lowest prices ever.

  • Ecto sold out. Boo hiss! LOL

    • +1

I take my jeering back, there are now five available. Woo hoo!

Edit: Five Ectos sold in seven minutes.

  • With the CHOICE gift card purchases - it should be instantenous shouldn't it? My card has been debited but havent received the email to redeem it? I logged a ticket with Cashrewards but can take upto 3 days?

    • Was more or less instant for me. Check your junk folder. Mine was there.

      • What's the problem with using AfterPay, please?
Never used it before so curious why so many want to avoid it, the 'hack' seems like a long way to avoid what seems a simple 'service', so I'm wondering why.

        • No problem, just don't need to bother with creating an AfterPay account nor ensuring you make the payments on time.

Also, it's a very simple "hack" that literally takes seconds.

          Lastly you get 5% cashback.

          • @DevGuy: Thanks, DevGuy.

The extra 5% would have been nice, but I wasn't sure which vouchers to buy, from where, and if they would be delivered in time (some comments on the other thread suggested a delay), nor what to do with them next. It sounded a lot more complicated than just clicking 'Pay by AfterPay' and putting in my bank card details - which seems almost too easy!
And I wasn't sure how long AfterPay Day was going to last - I think it was getting on towards midnight when I made my purchase.

At least it was only $5 difference on this occasion.

  • Updated lego bus and Ferrari corse to cheaper prices. Both now record lows but not sure if I should have updated since only a few stock of the Ferrari now. The bus probably has sufficient stock for a slow moving item (7 left)

  • Thanks, Justtoreply.
Hogwarts Express ordered for an Easter present. Child has wanted it since previous Christmas, but I don't think I've seen it available for less than $119. That's about what I paid for the Great Hall instead, which seemed much better value. I've always considered this poor value as a set, but child still wants the train though, so finally given in.
