all the comments for that video are positive

It also sounds like a pretty bias review

    • I think the reviews are all positive …can’t see any issues

  • Anyone know if the night vision mode on this is better than what you get on a decent phone camera? (For video not photos)

  • 1080p is shithouse for security

Night vision is actually it I suspect

I have 3 of these, and they are 10 times better than my SWANN setup, even though the SWANN was more expensive.

I second that mate , that’s what I am replacing from swann replacing with TP link ..Swann is absolute garbage

Anyone know if this works with blue iris? can it give a RTSP stream? I setup all these types of devices on a 'non-internet' network… only want local access…

  • i'm using xiaomi ecosystem for cameras. i find it times out often if i try to "dial home" to see live feeds from the cameras. i assume it is due to data feeding off servers in china.

are these kasa ones any different?

I have never had a problem connecting to mine. Even talking to the kids at home while i am at the shops, when they dont pick up their mobiles :)

Do these save locally or is it 100% cloud?

  • Cloud free for 2 years? Or not available in Aus?

    No SD?

  • No SD. I found this info about the Kasa Care

I can't see if they do have an sd card slot or not but i picked up one of these the other day from JB hifi for $59 and they do have a micro sd card. I threw in a 32gig card and i can record 24/7. And can access it while away from home. I think it works amazing for the price.

  • Kasa app is total shit on Android. Often can't recognize the state of Smart bulbs and plug, regularly errors and you need to force quit app to proceed.
