  • I got nothing. You must be using CBA credit cards quite frequently so they try to lure you to spend more hihi.

    • I dont even a CBA Mastercard credit card only a Visa credit and mastercard debit and i rarely use the debit card.Still got $50 off $250 spend offer on the debit card.

Not necessarily. I barely ever use my CBA debit card, but still received a targeted reward for JB HIFI

i got 80 off 500 at good guys

    • +2

Yep, same with me. Shame it wasn't the equivalent of 20% like the other offers.

On the flip side CBA are starting to really embarrass AMEX Offers. I'm starting to wonder why I pay $400 for my card each year.

    • Got the same offer as well.

    • Yeah, the same.

    • +2

Yep I only get the "$5 off $4,500 spend at boutique shoes Inc" too

      • I mean, I guess that isn't so bad considering stores like Gucci, Hermès and the like, won't even give a $1 discount on a 10k bag… lol

  • What to buy…

      Gift cards

      • That's a very good idea!

        • Look at my comment below…

    • C1 OLED if released before it expires

      • OLED TV on a up to $80 discount?

  • Where do you see this inside the app? Under view awards?

  • If i open the app and can't find any cashback offers, does it mean I don't get antyhing?

Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong spot? Anyone kind enough to share specific details on where within the app to find these cashback offers?

Its under “Product & Offers”, for Apple it’s at the bottom of the screen and for Android you go to the top left, touch on the three lines then “for you” and then “ Product & Offers”.
You may need to register if you haven’t already.

      Hope it helps!

  • Anyone know if this works at the Good Guys Commercial?

  • Can someone share their card types, which are eligible for these offers?

I'm particularly interested in the Good Guys reward, but if you could share other offers for other people, that would be great too.

To check which cards are eligible for the offer(s) you receive, follow these steps in the Android app:

Click on the menu icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Click on "For You" - "Commbank Rewards".

Then click on the options/settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen, then click on the "Eligible Cards" button.

    Thanks.

Ps. I received the $10 off $50 at JB HiFi offer on my Debit Mastercard, which I use for online purchases.

I transfer money into that card from another account just before I make an online purchase.

Using a debit card means if I get ripped off, it won't be more than what I put in it for a specific purchase, which I feel more comfortable with (rather than go through a credit card's refund process).

    • They randomise these offers usually. If you haven’t received it yet, you will receive it a bit later or on the second round I guess.

      • Thanks.

I received the JB HiFi offer, but I'm more interested in the Goog Guys offer, so I thought it was offered to certain card types, in which I could just create a new account.

But if it really is random then it won't make any difference, but I suspect that there must be some sort of strategy behind these promotions, offering it to certain people.

Actually, now that I think about it, it is probably more likely to be a customer's spending habits rather than card type, which determines who gets which offers.

Or it could be a combination of both, or indeed neither.

It could be truly random, like you wrote, but if it's not, I'm curious which factors are used.

Another thing that just came to me is the retailers' role in this process - maybe it's negotiated between the bank and certain retailers to offer it to a certain group of customers based on criteria that may not be obvious.

Which makes me even more curious.

Just purchased $250 gift card from goodguys.com, but the transaction on the commbank app is with Digital Rewards, not with GG, as their gift card system is powered by something called True Rewards. I think I'm screwed!!!!!!!!!

    FYI

True Rewards is a business engaged by The Good Guys to help provide you with the most seamless experience for purchasing and sending The Good Guys eGift Cards. On our behalf, True Rewards take your eGift Card payment, electronically distributes your eGift Card(s) and provides you with your Tax Invoice.

    • thanks for the heads up… probably better to buy the cards in store if you have access to one close by!

    • Or just go instore and buy an actual gift card. That might work
