  • Hmm, is it finally time to buy the 350db's?

    • +1

I did and I wasn't even looking for anything like this. Reviews look solid. And ultimately, life's too short for bad desktop speakers.

    • +1

They are very good, I have a set that I got for 299 a while back. Best set of speakers I've owned honestly for the price

  • Do I have to use a computer with Windows to use Edifier speakers with Bluetooth or USB connection? If using Linux are you restricted to 3.5mm line-in?

    • +1

If your version of Linux doesn't support something as basic as bluetooth speakers it's pretty crap

      • +1

It's just that the manual for the speakers mentions updating the Windows drivers to fix Bluetooth & USB connection problems. No mention of Linux.

  • EDIT: showing correct price now

Thanks OP, needed some real desktop speakers.

Noob question about bookshelf speakers - I've never owned any, and have always had entry level Creative 2.1 sets (the SBS range), and more recently, the Logitech z623. Would these be a good change? I'm not too fussed about having a bass-heavy sound. I appreciate clarity and a fuller soundstage.

Same question but currently own the Logitech Z906 5.1. Will the Edifier S350DB be a good upgrade?

      • +1

i dont think moving from 5.1 to this would be ideal unless you really care about the quality of sound these models have decent high and mids compared to logitech ones thats the only thing i know about it

      • +1

        Logitech for movies/bassheads

        Edifier for music/sound quality

    • From a bass perspective no cause of the dedicated sub but they're probably worthwhile for an overall clearer and wider sound

would it be a huge upgrade if i move from creative 2.1 pc speakers to edifier 1700bt ?

  • I already have the R1280's, would the R1700's be a worthwhile upgrade? Looks like they punch more power at 66W vs 42W

    • I've heard that they're very comparable and some people even prefer the 1280's over the 1700's

  • I am new to Afterpay. The code doesn't seem to work when checking out! is there a trick?

  • Pardon my ignorance, will any of these plug into a tv?

    • some of the models do come with 3.5mm plug for tv's check the model's specs on google

    • These have optical input. If your tv has optical out use that. The cable is called optical (or sometimes called toslink).

Other wise use rca cables. The one with 2 plugs at each end.

  • thanks xauke7. Can i buy 3.5mm to ??? to convert?
I don't realy understand what is the name of the pc plug also.
Is there a convertable plug I can buy?

  • +1

I got the s350db on the last deal. They sound great, they come with rca input so you could use them with a TV. Also have optical input so that would work too.
They're a great speaker, but I was surprised by the size of the sub. (it's big)

    • Thanks for this. I'm thinking of using for a lounge room. Can I ask how big the room you use yours is? Sufficient? Not sure if I should just grab a soundbar instead.

      • Plenty for a lounge room. can't sit in-front of them at full volume and they sound great. Just for ease and simplicity (HDMI Inputs, size, Wireless Sub blah blah) tho I'd recommend a sound bar for the living room, I have the Samsung Q70T and wouldn't trade it for anything.

  • Any good as desktop speakers? I have been rocking the same Z series Logitech speakers for over 10 years and they just keep on going so not sure if/what im missing out on

  • I've asked this before with no luck….but I bought the R1280DB a few sales ago and want a bit more bass. Can I connect a sub? What sub should I use?

    • You cant connect sub on your version. Need the s
