    • Think I’d much rather hisense.

    • When you upvote the post just so it's easier to find the @RogueWolf comment because you want to remember what you should roughly be aiming to pay for a 75S8 by Hisense.

How are the S8s? I've seen people recommending the Q8 but not much about the lower end S8.

      • Night and day when next to each other. Reach for the Q8.

I'd take the Hisense in a heartbeat over the Blaupunkt.

Hisense develop and manufacture their own panels. Blaupunkt just stamp their brand onto generic TVs

  • Is this as bad as Eko? I heard there are many returns of Eko tv to bigw

    • The 65 looks to be the same as EKO. It has the exact same remote as the EKO 60 inch. Also the main photo looks the same as well.

One of my friends recently bought the EKO 60 and I helped her set it up. So far so good and I have to say it is pretty good. Starts up fairly quickly, the operating system is decent and the picture is quite good.

    • Have had my EKO 65in Android TV for well over a year now and it's perfect. It's used for 4K streaming services and the picture once tweaked is very good.

    • eko webOS, SMART both suck, no two ways about it but the ANDRIOD edtion does not suck at all! I recommend it (I have the 75" EKO)

Just a warning about Blaupunkt TVs.

Blaupunkt is no longer a research/development/manufacturing company, it is a marketing company that slaps its brand on cheaper generic panels.

If you're old enough to remember when Blaupunkt built amazing quality high end products, forget about that now. This is essentially another Soniq, Eko, or kogan tv, which is fine, but dont pay above those price points.

Just remind the 75inch tv is too big to pick up by the normal size car. Got the Hisense 75 s8 today from the good guys, but found it's unavailable to fit in my Ford territory when picking up, so arranged delivery there at $55.

    • Yes bring a trailer or pay for delivery if over 65. Picked up a 65 hisense q7 on Friday and only just fit in the back of my Pajero.

I'd be hesitant purchasing from JB hi-fi.. Blaupunkt 75 inch model looks to be exactly the same tv as the Big W Eko 75 inch. I purchased 2 x Eko 75 inch TV's during one of there sales and one had severe backlight bleeding whilst the other one wasn't too bad. Suffice to say I returned the worst of the 2. Big W allows you to return items within 3 months even if said item is not faulty (Unless it's on clearance). I hazard a guess JB would give you a hard time, especially for something like backlight bleed that they could just shrug of as a common ailment for this type of tech.

    • you scored a bargin and if its the full andriod version like mine Im sure your as awed by the bang4buck as I am.

bleed, buzzing speakers ect are all horrible but it happens on even bigger named, branded and overpriced models but bigWs return policy as awesome, beating out jbhifi, HN, goodguys any day of the week!

  • This 65" Blaupunkt looks to be the exact same case as the EKO Frameless QLED TVs, but with a different non-QLED panel. The 65 (BP650USG9200) is also available from Officeworks so you should be able to use their 5% price match guarantee to make it $603.
