      If you just want to watch Netflix and the like, the basic A7 tab is fine. Bought one for $265 and had the 2019 version before that which was slow but also fine for media.

      this is a step up, more ipad like.

      This is like Samsung’s attempt to offer S pen support in a tablet at a more affordable price. So you get the S pen features with A series like specs. It offers extra ram and storage over the A7, but they perform similarly and screen is good quality albeit not AMOLED like the more premium Samsung offerings. At this price it’s pretty much a no brainer to get the S6 lite over the A7 I’d say. Probably be hard pressed to find the 64gb A7 for much cheaper. So yeah the extra storage, ram, and S pen features make this a bargain at under $350 vs the A7 that typically can be found for around the $300 mark or less with 32gb of internal storage. The Lenovo offerings can’t really compete in this price range. The base model iPads are much more expensive once you factor in storage plus a pencil.

      So about $100 more for 1gb more ram and 32gb more internal storage and maybe longer support for updates if you pick this deal which is the samsung galaxy tab s6 lite 64gb over the samsung galaxy tab a7 wifi 32gb.

      Screen size, weight, resolution and soc are all fairly similar or close in performance.

      Both use type c charging.

      Not sure how different the screen displays are tft vs ips.

        There’s plenty comparisons on YouTube. They both use ips displays too. The S6 lite display is supposedly a little brighter and warmer. Not a huge difference. Support wise the A7 probably gets same support since it’s a newer model. The age of the device seems to be the defining factor in these lower tier model support cycles by Samsung. Like the S5e will get Android 11 but undoubtedly that where it ends for major updates despite have superior specs to the A7 and s6 lite that both should get Android 12. Doubt either will see anything beyond that, other than security updates.

      You can buy a 64GB sd card and slap it in for like $25. Still works out cheaper than the 128gb and is also brand new.

      You don't need much storage on tablets nowadays. Everything is via the cloud (youtube, pornhub, netflix, office) and most peeps don't take videos and photos with their tablets (cause of phone).

          You can move apps after installation to sd cards but it is only one at a time by going into settings then apps then selecting the specific app and selecting storage then changing the storage from internal to external then selecting move but only one app at a time and no batch method of doing it afaik which is very annoying and time consuming.

          Yeah they need to add a setting to choose from so we can redirect app installs to install on the sd card but like I guess that is too hard for our smartest and brightest software engineers atm but hopefully maybe we will get it natively in 20 years… maybe if we are lucky and somebody realises it would be a nice feature.

          Yeah don't hold your breath too long for that one.

      Make sure your payment method is set to Afterpay then the code should come up. If it doesnt then eBay may have a glitch or have excluded Bing Lee's storefront.

    I bought 128 GB for 469 in January from Samsung edu store. I thought that was a bargain with everyone else selling them for 630+. This is a great price, especially if you need stylus support. Great for multimedia to with stereo speakers.

          It’s a modern ips laminated display, so I don’t know why people are so concerned about the display. But you can always check out the display model at one of the local retailers. I seen them before to compare them against my S5e, but the S5e I personally prefer since it’s AMOLED.

    How are updates on these? Got a Samsung tablet in 2014 and a couple of years later it wasn't able to get new apps in the app store as it was out of date software and couldn't be upgraded.

      Samsung has committed to delivering 3 Android version updates for a set of devices including this one, and this one just got 11. So in theory it should have a few years of support.

      Samsung has improved massively interms of support since 2014. In my experience the tablet support isn’t as good as their phones, but their tablets do get at least a couple of major updates now, with less frequent security updates. My S5e for instance shipped with Android 9 and will eventually get Android 11. Tbf one UI 2.5 was a major update for it, even if it wasn’t Android 11.
