Looks like a good price for this monitor normally $599

Wonder if it's starting to go clearance for a newer model as it's been out 14 months?

Also same price at centre com delivered.

Just started looking for a monitor and got my eyes n this one but wondering if price may drop further soon

    Boo VA panel! Avoid.

This panel has a lot of good reviews and is even not too bad for rgb colour for any kind of editing

This seems look a pretty decent monitor for those not wanting to fork out $1k for a 4K IPS

I too thought like you that IPS is the only way to go but I've heard the cheaper IPS panels like the dell s2721qs is not much better than this

And VA panels are fine for your use case? And that contrast ratio is better on VAs?

I may be completely wrong as I've just started researching but this panel has a lot of good going for it.

I would be more understanding if it was a high refresh rate panel for gaming which would make the trade-off worthwhile but it's just 60 Hz.

You didn't mention what your use case was.

        • My use case is for watching 4k videos and some video editing for personal videos only wheee5 accurate colour representation at a professional level is not necessary

I will play the odd game or two but I'm not looking for the hardcore best frame rate. My machine and GPU isn't even up to this anyway

I was originally looking for 27 inch but keep reading 27 inch is too small for 4k. Is this still true when you're watching 4k Content?

Neither IPS nor VA are better than one another. It's about your use case and how high up the product stack either potential product is as to which one will suit your needs better.

I'm waiting for a cheap deal on 32" 4K IPS non-curved for photo work, not wanting to spend a lot. I could be waiting a while.

    • How about Lenovo ThinkVision T32p-20, ~$700 after PAPDY20 coupon code.

      • I will check it out, thanks for the link..I've been searching ebay but didnt see this.

    • I recently managed to find a BenQ pd3200u & pd3200q on the used market for a combined total of 560$(280 each). ones 4k & ones 2k. if you want a good low-cost monitor for colour work (not print only online/screen as they cover full srgb but only 75%adobe rgb) have a suss around the last generation BenQ PD monitors or if you want the new stuff with 99% adobe RGB coverage suss the BenQ SW line. you only need top-level adobe RGB coverage if you are looking to print at industry standard levels at home/in house. I usually just send my work to the printers and they take care of it for me + a lot of them want files in a srgb colour space before they do they own colour management.

      • Thanks for the reply, I will consider it before deciding

I'm using this monitor right now and it's very easy on the eyes for lots of work reading / office stuff. I'm on it most of the day.

  • Looks like most people prefer the Dell S3221QS and it got .1 point higher score in rtings in mixed use, media creation and HDR gaming plus it's $111 cheaper at the moment

Looks like this is a better deal

    • Non-curved vs curved.

Not sure that's a fair comparison.

I know lots of people wouldn't touch a curved display; me included.

I personally feel that it's not great producing videos and finishing photos on a curved screen, and I feel like that's something someone buying a mid priced 60Hz 4K screen would be doing at least occasionally.

  • Dam it, just paid full price last week :(

Previous monitor was dell s2721q. And I think I prefer the Dell ips panel. But I could just be getting used to the VA panel as it's early days. Looking at certain test images I can see colour shifts.

If you have good eyesight or good glasses you could probably use this monitor at native 4k.

I'd I didn't need this monitor for design work I would have probably got the curved dell that's so much cheaper these days.

  • Don’t trust centrecom at all. Bought a bloody microSD card that never arrived. In process if a refund at the moment. So goodluck to those who by from this mob.

Go scorptec on the other hand. Bought 1000s dollars worth of stuff and always arrived real quick.
