    • and change was AOK !!!

    • +1

I did the same except when I paid at that price it said order confirmed.

Then I was charged 1087 bucks on my card. Rigged.

      • +1

I put it in the cart before hand, waited for the "sale" ticker on the cart page to get to zero, reloaded the page, got the new price, applied, the coupon, added my zip pay virtual card, and pressed the big "buy" button.

$518 has been taken out of my zip pay account

        • also did cart beforehand, and then entered Amex card and Pay Now. by the time i did that, it was sold out.

so i tried combinations and managed to add the Mi Air 2 SE, and then did the exact same thing. got to last page, said total was $580AUD-odd. Entered details and it said order confirmed.

Checked My Orders section and it said $1087, also the same on my Amex card when i logged in.

          Filing a dispute now.

      • +1

Yep I just posted this happened to me as well.. ask for refund of the additional charge and see how you go.

  • Looks like they have restocked, with plenty of Black and White ones(No Blue) but no luck with the coupon.

    • Same

  • I had the 8GB + 256GB white in my cart. Waited until the timer ended and refreshed my cart and it said it was the 50% off, continued the order said total was USD$383.90 (inc tax) as I used the USD$-30 POCOF3 discount, and then after the order was complete and I go look at the orders page, they have charged me USD$800!

I confirmed that my transaction happened AFTER midnight 00:00PST

Total Received Payment Method Date Received
    US $ 800.80 US $ 800.80 Credit/Debit Card 2021-03-29 00:01

I've asked that they refund the extra charged, it should have been USD$383 as per when I checked out. If they don't I will have no choice but to cancel my order which I won't be happy about :-(

    • sorry just saw your reply. I messaged their store, because I can't see anywhere else to argue it in the My Orders section. Nothing to cancel, only something to Extend Processing Time.

      • +1

Next to order id, 'Click View Detail' and you can then cancel the order.

        • +1

thanks mate really appreciate it. i will wait a few hours and see if they read my message on their Store and issue a refund - if not, then will go ahead with cancellation.

      • +1

I'll see if the store accepts the error is on Aliexpress/them and honor the SALE pricing of the order I was shown in my checkout before I ordered - the credit card shows it was AFTER their sale window started.

If they don't refund the additional charged I will just cancel it, and definitely not bother with these sales any longer if AliExpress website lies to you when placing an order. That's just false advertising.

        • +1

I ordered another 8+256 for $570 without the coupon code, so ends up being another $50.

Risky but hoping they cancel the original order because it obviously shows I have bought another one, and refund me the original $1100.

I'm with you, i just find it ridiculous that they can charge the $1100 when it is $500 in your cart at the last step of payment. If anything, it should time out and say no stock is available —- instead of reverting to that ridiculous 1100 price

        • Keep me updated mate on how it goes

          • +1

@adrianhughes1998: i got same issue as you. I cancelled the order. keep me update as well thanks.

            • @sszjy: Will do mate. It says refund has been placed and is processing. Not sure if it's true though, will have to see.

              • @adrianhughes1998: Really - none of my messages have been read by the Poco Store yet, so I've cancelled the order. Now I have to wait up to 3 days apparently. Ugh.

                • @Visshon: same, they haven't read any of my messages. i just went in and cancelled the order, but in the financial section it says the refund is processing.

same situation, 72hrs and see what they come up with. fingers crossed for us all.

                  • +1

@adrianhughes1998: just let you know. my order has been cancelled

                    • @sszjy: @sszjy thanks mate. Yeah mine too, they confirmed it with a DM.

Problem is that they took the money out of my credit card and the transaction has gone through. Said it might take up to 20 days for it to be refunded.

            • @sszjy: just had my money refunded yesterday, full amount back onto my Amex. funny it says still processing on AliExpress though for the refund haha.

Actual phone hasn't been shipped yet, for the actual other legitimate order I made :(

  • Bought a 6GB+128GB and a 8GB+256GB, thanks OP

    I give up

    • PayPal Dood

      • Oh thanks for that, I didnt even know they take paypal now.

Ordered the 256gb in black for $540 AUD.

Why is everyone getting different prices?????

        • Probably people using AUD instead of USD on aliexpress, or using USD but using paypal exchange rates / different card exchange rates. Resulting in slightly different AUD prices?

  • Managed to get "official standard" 8GB/256GB in White for $520AUD amost $400USD
Not sure if I got a deal or not.
The phone seems like an excellent upgrade for my Mi9T though.

    Thanks OP.
Edit. That's with the coupon code "POCOF3"

  • +1

Guessing everyone had the price jacked to 1K+. Cancelled my order.

    • I didn't - I got charged the sale price

    • At 6:00 on the dot, I paid $458 for a 128gb with the case and screen protector.

    • +1

UPDATE: So like a few other ppl here, I added t to cart early and due to the limited stock, i was charged $800 for the phone (even though i saw the early bird pricing at check out). Order successfully canceled after 3 days but Credit card refund hasn't been put back….hoping that goes back in soon.

Notice that the same happen on the POCO X3 pro deal also. i ended up getting the POCO x3 pro as I dont need 5G. This time i got the sae price for the 8/256 as the 6/128 was sold out.

      Enjoy.

      • Buyer has closed my order saying that the buyer has cancelled the order, and that it will be refunded within 20 days. Will have to chase up with AliExpress Service they said, if the refund doesn't come through.

Guessing will have to make a chargeback thru my Amex that I paid with, if they don't come through with the refund.

Keep us updated mate on how it all goes.

        • +1

If the order has been cancelled, refund will definitely be in your account in a few days maybe longer but not 20 days. If paying via PayPal refund happens within 24 hours, sometimes sooner.

          • @adr8: ok was wondering how long it would come back, i didn't pay through PayPal unfortunately, just the standard Aliexpress credit card option.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop

            • +1

@adrianhughes1998: My last order that got cancelled on AE took 3-5days for the refund to come through. So if the refund doesn't go back onto the card next week. I'm going to dispute it.

              • @philta: thanks mate, keep us updated

              • @philta: just had my money refunded yesterday, full amount back onto my Amex. funny it says still processing on AliExpress though for the refund haha.

Actual phone hasn't been shipped yet, for the actual other legitimate order I made :(

                • @adrianhughes1998: Mine on Visa and hasn't came through yet. Still not a single response from the seller. Order was just closed.

                  • @philta: Go into the order and mine also said Closed but there's a tab named Financial down the page. Click on that and right down the bottom of the page, should have orange dots saying refund processing.

Got one like 5 mins ago for $569. Not as good of a price but is still a good price nonetheless.

  • decided to Keep my Mi9 and skip this for now , few corners cut

maybe il wait till 3G is turned off and opt for a few more bands

    • Same here. Mi9 is still snappy as day one. Only two things has been bothering me. Tiny battery and not enough apace (i should've bought the 256g)
Was very keen to upgrade to a new phone and got my eyes on this however the 'downgrade' of camera (imx582) and no wireless charging were the deal breakers for me…

      • whats a good wireless charger and will it charge with the Case on ?

        • I have been using xiaomi 's own 20w
wireless charger and it's charging alright with case on

  • Just completed an order $556 inc GST for the 8GB/256GB model.

Kept refreshing until it came up with only having to get a screen protector instead of a headphones/watch bundle. Looks like they keep adding stock batches.

The POCOF3 code didnt work. Code ALIAN11 took $~14 off (via https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/612389 )

  • +1

Also got one, $549 Black Colour 8GB/256GB with screen protector and Niikin case, cashback also tracked!

Shame the POCOF3 code ran out so fast, at least the ALIAN11 code still gave a somewhat decent discount

    • How much is your cashback?
Shopback tracked it and gave me $2.86
Better than nothing I guess but pretty far off 6% lol

      • +1

I used Cashrewards and got ~$24 or so cashback

      • Shopback tracked it and gave me $2.86

sounds like it tracked as a non-affiliated product at 0.5%. email them and they will give you higher mobile phone rate

cashrewards is better for mobile phones and shopback is better for mobile phone accessories

  • Looks like they restocked some. HONEY found a code with SAVINGSUN12 which worked - I paid in USD using citibank plus instead of aliexpress' own currency conversion.

Price for 6GB RAM / 128GB Black version comes up to $491.42

  • Hi guys, whats the difference between the phone pictures that show "limited" and nothing? im struggling to find a difference

    • +1

      There was a price difference

      • Yeah, what differences in the two factors in the price difference?

        • Sorry, it was like $30 less for the "Limited" one. I think they were the ones with less stock for cheaper.

          • @Droz: Ahh okay, so there wasnt any hardware/software differences then im assuming.
            Thanks for the replies btw.

            • @Flaunted: No problems! Yeah, no difference in specs, they had limited and not-limited versions of the same phones, limited was slightly cheaper. That's all I could see. I grabbed a limited black.

              • @Droz: You're an absolute legend, thanks heaps for clearing that one up!

  • Estimated Delivery Time 25 Days

Will Be Shipped in Within 30 Business Days

FML, does that mean 55 days till I get my phone?

    • got an email saying it shipped this morning, ETA between April 18 and May 9th.

  • I got an email this morning saying my phone has been shipped and I can start tracking it. Expected it to take a lot longer. Hopefully 2-3 weeks from here.

    • Mine also says shipped with estimated delivery of Apr 18 - May 9

      • I am jealous of both of you - awaiting shipment still

    • Which version of the mobile did you get ?

      • Black 8+256

      • also got Black 8/256 - had to add the "airpods" since other options were all greyed out

        • same

          • @MasturBlake: @MasturBlake

            How's your tracking going?
Mine looks like got to Singapore on Sunday 4/4

            • @mightyhawks23: I know I'm not MasturBlake, but mine hasn't moved from the "Shipment Ready for Dispatch" status from the 31st of March…

I hope it actually is moving, my current phone is dying a quick death…

              • +1

@Droz: Hope it starts moving for you - this part waiting for 1) dispatch and then 2) delivery is the worst part

                • @mightyhawks23: For those playing along at home - repeatedly refreshing the page made my order progress.

                  • Shipment dispatched; then
                  • Shipment at country of origin warehouse.

I figure if I keep mashing the refresh shortcut on my keyboard, the Poco F3 should be delivered by tomorrow morning.

                  • @Droz: Hey Droz,

What's the latest? Mine seems to be stuck at Delivering - Departed country of origin since 2/4. When I click on the GOT link it now says - -Despatched to OverSeas Postal Admin (From SG/SIN to AU/SYD) 2021-04-04 but nothing since then. My guess is it hasn't been processed at Customs AU yet.

                    • @MasturBlake: Mine's the same - Despatched to OverSeas Postal Admin (From SG/SIN to AU/SYD) 2021-04-04
Checking every few hours for some movement but nothing

                    • @MasturBlake: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I find parcels SG/SIN to AU/SYD take forever to show any movement if at all. This seems to be the slowest freight route,
Hopefully I'm wrong and you guy's see a bit of movement and get your phones ASAP.

                      • @chrisie: Thanks - good to know
I've been checking on the app previously - now checking in the browser, it's redirected me to Singapore Post site and shows
Dispatched to overseas (Country code: AU) 04/04/2021

So seems somewhere between Singapore and AU since 4/4
Hopefully Aussie customs and AusPost picks up their game

                        • @mightyhawks23: It's in the country at least - getting closer

Parcel Status In transit at destination country
Accepted by Last Mile Carrier 2021-04-09

                          • @mightyhawks23: That’s good news. I haven’t got that update yet. Seems to still be in transit for me.

                    • @MasturBlake: Mine updated on the 9th - here's the entire chain, bearing in mind I paid at 6:01PM on the day of the sale:

Seems they use a freight forwarder from Singapore and they just left it in the mailbox

                              • @mightyhawks23: That's cool, so it was about 10 calendar days from Overseas dispatch to delivery at your door - that's pretty cool!, and you got it in 2 weeks from a sale that sold thousands of phones.

Have fun with it, and let us know how quickly the ads piss you off, and how soon you install the MIUI EU Rom, and what the bugs are :)

                                • +2

@Droz: Argh, knew I forgot something (installing the EU Rom). Oh well - it's all setup so see how it goes
Re ads - I followed some YouTube tutorial and turned them all off (there's a lot of places to disable them all). Haven't really noticed any since

Coming from a Pixel 4a 5G; some early impressions

                                  • only taken some indoors photos. Not as good as the Pixel (as expected) but just something I'll have to live with. Will have to check for a GCam port later when I have time

                                  • love the 33W quick charge (Pixel only 18W from memory). Comes with adaptor for the AU socket but the one I received is a bit loose so using one from the house

                                  • the Pixel screen was a tad small for my liking so like the bigger on the Poco. First phone for me with 120Hz display; yes it's smoother but not world changing. Will likely turn if off to save battery

                                  • For those using Nova launcher; it seems to get a bit confused between stock Poco launcher and Nova launcher. Had set Nova to be default but every now and then, when going back to the home screen, it'll show the Poco home screen layout. Tapping on home or similar then "refreshes" and will show the Nova home screen

                                  • decided to give Poco launcher a go anyway. If using the navigation buttons and tapping the app switch button, seems to have a bug where it doesn't show the past apps. Can see it register the button and zoom out to show the past apps but nothing shows - only the background. Got used to the full screen gestures from Pixel so switched over and app switching works with the gestures

                              • @mightyhawks23: Whats it like? Best phone that ever has or ever will be made?

                      • @Droz: Same processes just different dates for me. Nothing since the 4th for me which is when I had Despatched to OverSeas Postal Admin (From SG/SIN to AU/SYD)

  • Dang, missed out! Though still have a chance to snag an X3 Pro coming up tomorrow.

Planning on upgrading from OG S8 to use for some high end emu's. The mSD exp on the X3 Pro is a selling point for me & fits the purpose even though F3 has better SD870 SoC & AMOLED display. Also 5G is not quite mature yet in AU so personally gonna stick with X3 until next upgrade. #tradeoffs

    • X3 pro is worse than the original aint it?

Anyone else got more than 40 days till shipping time?

    • I reckon everyone gets 40+ days, until they ship, after which it becomes 25. I got my Shipped notification this morning.

      • My Poco F3 has not shipped yet. My purchased was 100% completed 30 seconds after sale started. Don't get it.

        • Same here, I did not get the discount and forgot to try the alin11 code, cost $587.90 and still waiting to be shipped, bought the 256 gig black model.

I do feel a little annoyed, but if people weren't posting here that they'd gotten theirs sent out, I wouldn't have known, and been ok with it!

          • @Droz: Most likely they have a limit on how many they can send per day. As they sold thousands of phones that day, I wouldn't worry yet.

            • @CheapOjoe: Am a bit disappointed that mine hasn't been shipped yet as I was definitely fully transacted within the first 30 or so seconds. But i guess it'll come soon enough.

@witheredcouch: I got a message just after midnight that said it's Shipped, but what that actually means is:

                "[China]Shipment ready for dispatch"

SO… dunno, I expect it to take a while. My tracking number isn't in whatever system it's supposed to be in yet, but at least something's happening.

Other Tracking site says "Packed for picking-up."

@Droz: Mine just updated to this… it was what yours says now

                  "Delivering
Shipment at country of origin warehouse"
