15 Year Anniversary Holiday Suggestions

Adelaide based, looking for local or interstate holiday ideas to celebrate/commiserate 15 years.

Ozbargainer in me says don't spend too much money but we will be kid free so want to make use of the time.

Happy to drive to Victoria but anywhere else will need to be flown as we only have 5 days.

Romantic, relaxing or Adventurous we open to all ideas.

Cheers

Edit we are 30-31 years old

Fly to Cairns. 3-4 day liveaboard Scuba Diving course on the Great Barrier Reef.

Peace & quiet away from the world, lovely couple activity and absolutely gorgeous world underwater. You leave having enjoyed, relaxed and become a certified open water diver.

By far one of the best things I've ever done!

  • Fly to Tassie, spend 5 days in the airport.

  • Could always try Hepburn springs in Victoria for spa retreat and then drive on to Melbourne or do the Barossa and stay at the Novotel and visit Seppeltsfield or Hentley Farm Wines and others in the area. Robe is also nice but really depends on what interests you.

  • Might be out of the way from Adelaide, but for my wife's 40th in July, we are heading to Hayman Island.

    • Time to change username to TheBrokeTraveller

      • We might already be broke but it's all in the mind - think abundant, feel abundant - think broke, be broke.

        • out of curiosity; how much debt do you have?

          • @bargain huntress: Don't worry we are not going broke any time soon ;) It is more friendly banter with the other poster than anything else. FWIW Hayman Island is expensive but if the borders miraculously open in July, we will be heading to the Maldives for the 4th time instead. We are still holding onto our 10-night reservation which we can cancel up to last-minute without penalty, so fingers crossed.

Honestly I’d splash out and go big. Kid free is incredible! I can only dream…..ahahaha!

It really depends on your tastes but if it was me I’d go for warm and chilled vibe, somewhere like Port Douglas and stay somewhere 5 stars super luxurious….Sea Temple was great years ago when I last went but I’m sure there are better now.

I’ve heard great things about some of those all inclusive resorts in Whitsundays/Hayman Islands too.
They are next level expensive though I’m sure worth it for the experience.

  • A few places on our list

    Uluru
    Kimberlys/kakadu
    Perth
    Whitsundays

Hubby has 4 weeks long service in May. It was suppose to London, Iceland, Santorini.

    Happy 15th yr! It's a huge achievement.

If you are healthcare worker, google Accor healthcare workers. Some really awesome deals.

Maybe Bris/GC/Byron? Can't really go wrong and it's cery covid safe here. Lots of nice hotels and resorts.
