Amazing all round laptop for work or study. With loads of power under the hood and 16GB for all your screens open at the same time. Great price for this laptop. Cant find many better options for the price tag out there.

  • I purchased the Ryzen 4700U version of this last year. Going well, fast, good build quality and no bloatware. Only drawback is no HDMI support/Thunderbolt on USB C port.

    • How is the display brightness ?

    • +1

(not trying to rub salt in the wound lol) I was actually going to get the 4700u, but happened to find a laptop with this i7 instead. I had issues with ram/vram so went the egpu route as I had thunderbolt - it's a gamechanger!

      • Wow. Is there any thunderbolt 4 egup that you would recommend?

        • Nothing TB4 yet. There isn't any bandwidth improvements in TB4 so a TB3 enclosure is perfectly fine. which enclosure you go for however is a different story! If you don't need usb ports/Ethernet then most options are good, usb ports are more complex to get perfectly right.

    • The ASUS website says Asus S533EA does have Thunderbolt 4 on the USB C… So HDMI support right? I assume you were saying that it was last years version (yours) which didn't right?
