Guys, just seen this $1400 OFF deal from costco, I compared it with other major Shed provider.
If you want a hassle free shed, this is a very good deal
I think this required a $60 Costco membership. But with $1400 OFF who cares.

I have an existing 20yo Brick shed in my yard thats similar dimensions and have been told by my council it's not compliant as the roof is too high, so has to come down or get certified by a builder, wouldnt this also require certification in the same way?

    • depends on where you live, but this one would on the Gold Coast as its over 10sqm. This is the requirements for City of Gold Coast:

A small garden shed for a house can be built without a building approval. Check the list below before you build:

only one per site without approval
less than 10m2, 2.4 metres high (2.1 metres mean height) and 5.0 metres long
no risk for fire spread between buildings, generally this requires 0.9 metres minimum to a boundary or 1.8 metres to another building not associated with >the shed.
not on common property without consent
not over a sewer or stormwater
not over an easement or covenant area
not in a road setback or waterfront area
stormwater is not a nuisance to neighbours.

    • Absolutely, check your council website to find out the rules for your area.

With zero permits, I'm allowed up to 2.1m high if the shed is against the boundary line, and the shed must be below a specific square-meterage.

If I want to exceed those, then I need a permit to do so ($$$).

How long will these plastic sheds last for?

I got a 15m2 colourbond shed with gutters for only $2750. With fully welded C100 frame and N2 rating.

    • Yep how long will it last before you need to take it to the tip?
At least metal sheds can be taken to scrap metal for free recycling
