The only way this reply could be more pointless is if you also told us what you had for breakfast.

      Donald Trump is this you?

    • +1

Relevance? Also, the Arlo Pro 2 does have local recording via optional USB device connected to the base station. And, you will find that all battery powered systems will have a minor delay since they are not recording 24/7 (most rely on PIR to detect motion and trigger recording/notifications). If you require zero delays you really need 24/7 recording from a powered camera system.

Huh.. thanks for a review of a.. different product..?

    • -3

      don't bother, bad batch.

    • I sold my Arlo pro 2s as the video quality was horrendous. Eufy doorbell much better quality but the motion sensing is terrible. Can't win em all

Rewardgateway has got 10% off SCA gift cards, potentially bringing this down to $220
Edit: Couldn’t resist, got one. Thanks OP

Just got this with AAMI gift cards 8% off. Note that you need to be a Supercheap club member but you can sign up from the checkout which adds $5 to the order. All up got it for just under $230!

  • stuck with Ring and their plan of paying monthly

  • +1

Shame they don’t have a decent price for those who already have the Homebase 2!

  • I grabbed this yesterday with 8% off using gift cards from Suncorp App when I noticed https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/614566. Brought it down to $224 or so, pretty good price.

    • Do you bank with Suncorp or just signed up for an everyday account and buy gift cards when needed?

  • +1

Thanks OP. Its been 3 months since my order of the 2C sec cams and home base 2 from aliexpress. That has still not arrived.

Was hoping to buy just this cam for it. But sadly I think that shipment may never arrive and so got this. I may end up with two home bases but that is something I will look at later.

    • That's not a bad thing. I have read that you shouldn't have more than 4 devices on each Homebase else the 16Gb gets used quickly. A back up is always welcome too.

Big Lee had this without the Base station for $199 free delivery, if you don’t require another base station

  • Anyone setup a solar panel to charge there's

Got one thanks OP. Used Entertainment Book digital SCA giftcards for further saving thanks.

So I bought this and also two single add on cams. Went to collect and they had two x 2 camera pack inc home base with the door bell kit. Had no idea what I would do with the 2 extra home base (and extra cams), except maybe pawn it.

Pointed out the error, they said thanks and then changed it to two single add on cameras. Not sure if I was too honest or silly not to take advantage of the error.

  • Is the cheapest way to add a couple of cameras is to buy this as well?

  • Has anyone got this working with the Nest displays, like ringing and showing up live feed on the display?

    • Also interested to know.. would be good if once the doorbell rings that the video and audio feed appears on the Neat Hub without any major lag/delay.

    • I've got the wired version with about 1s lag when viewed from the app. It does work with Google Home Hub Max, but it takes probably upwards of 30s to load up.

The motion sensor is pretty good, with notifications only being sent if there is motion in the set zone.

There happened to be 1 left in the JB Hi-Fi when I popped in, and I managed to get them to price match videopro:
      https://www.videopro.com.au/p-13003-eufy-cam-2k-video-doorbe…

      • What kind of delay do you get to open the app on your phone and get a live feed?
I have the wired Nest Doorbell and it's probably a good 10-15 seconds which is a bit crap.

        • I can only speak for the wired version: it's often 1 second or less if you're on your home Wi-Fi. Probably a couple of seconds if you're on your mobile network.

          • @DukeNinja: Does the Google Home Max automaticaly show the footage once the doorbell rings?

New to all this sorry, can I buy this and add the doorbell to my front door, then add another camera to the front garage under the same system?

    • +2

One home base you can linked up to 16 devices I am pretty sure.

    • +1

      Yes

    • +1

      Yes you can

    • +1

If you are considering adding multiple cameras later, you might be better off buying a set of cameras with homebase and buying the doorbell separately on its own without a homebase. I did the opposite and now I have a spare homebase sitting around doing not much.

    • Yes you can definitely can. Eufy products are quite competitive against ring & arlo units.

    • +1

I'm actually thinking of setting up two homebases with half the cameras connected to one and half the cameras connected to another. Put them in different rooms. If one of them gets stolen, at least I have the other and local storage caapcity is doubled.

I haven't figured out how to get Homekit Secure Video to work. I'm on a 2TB plan but it just doens't work.

I was literally watching a youtube video reviewing this and then realised it's $349.00 in TGG. Now, I saw this post. Thanks OP grabbed one.

I have this bad boy on my front porch. Solid product altho I must say the motion sensor sometimes doesn’t trigger the recording but overall 8.5/10 from me. Waiting for the add on unit deals so I can install one at my backyard :D

  • Does anyone if we can price beat at Bunnings for extra 10% off?

    • Yes, bunnings has price beat Supercheap auto for me in the past.

    • +1

Bunnings will price beat, but only for sales available to the public (this is for Club members only - but try your luck)

  • Just received mine from the last Bing Lee deal and the home base has an annoying ticking sound. Seems its very common. Not sure if ill send it back and find something else or put it somewhere I cant hear it. Its fairly quiet but it will annoy some people for sure.

    • What ticking sound? Mine doesn't have any sound - defective unit perhaps?

      • Yeah ide say its defective but it seems a lot of the replacements have the same issue.

  • was this a daily club deal? showing $349 RRP for me
