Acer 24" Full HD Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor $130 (after $19 End User Cash Back 31 March)

250

Cheap 24" Monitor from MWAVE. Not the best specs but cheap if you don't mind not having HDMI.

O.O $19 cash back!? Those MWave kids are really doing it hard.

Nah but seriously Mwave annoys me. Still a good deal, but they are notorious for mislabelling stock. I just last week ordered 5 items, all of which were in stock at time of purchase (confirmed via phone call). Hours after my payment is cleared, 3 items mysteriously are out of stock. Had to wait an extra 3 days (listed as 2 day shipping).

Not so bad, but just not a good practise. I have heard of " stocked items " taking up to 3 weeks to be processed. Luckily with my 3 or so transactions i havent encountered delays like that.

dude, how can you bag out mwave for a one time incident then in the same breath say there were no dramas in your last 3 transactions with them.

ive had no dramas ever with mwave, you gotta understand popular items go fast and its not their fault that the stocks status isnt updating fast enough your probably just to slow mate. dont go around with your random allegations labelling mwave as "notorious for mislabelling stock".

      • its not their fault that the stocks status isnt updating fast enough

To my knowledge, mwave maintain their website, or is it the fault of the Internetz?

  • this is only $2 cheaper than MSY

  • You can get a HDMI to DVI converter for a couple of dollars off eBay. Although they all claim to be DVI to HDMI converters the standard cheap ones work equally well either way (the signals are the same so unless you get a fancy signal splitter or something it just connects the wires. The main thing is to make sure you look at the photos to make sure they physically connect to both your HDMI cable and your monitor. You can't attach an outty bit to another outty bit).

  • Can't complain about the shipping cost. $12 to Cairns is brill!

    • Shows up as $41.21 for me.
      Even Sydney is $13.14.

    don't buy these

    get proper hdmi models

that way u can connect a gaming console as well as the pc etc..

these are outdated models without hdmi

    • +1 I almost bought a smaller one from MSY but without HDMI it means consoles are worthless on this. I just bought one of these:http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60608 about 3 days ago and it means I can use HDMI and get my audio through the audio out jack on the back.

      • Are you sure that works? I've wondered that since I got a Dell one, but I was just presuming the audio out was just a pass through of the audio in port on the monitor.

        • -1

          yes it works

audio out is for hdmi audio

so u can listen to gaming console audio

but downside is it is only 2 channel..

        • Thanks Tyler,

I just got mine today and can also confirm that it works. it will suffice for me while at uni where I only have a 2.1 system anyway.

I thought it was $130 with an additional $19 cash back as the title suggests which is misleading. You should change the title to "after $19 End User Cash Back".

    • Fair call, change made.

    bah humbug

For a desktop I would only go a glossy screen, colours are way more life like…

    • And the glare is brilliantly annoying!

      • Reposition your monitor?

  • Link says $155 after $19 cash back, does that not make $136 ???

  • Great deal, I bought 3 of these a few months back. Check the specs on Acer website they are business grade not consumer grade and RRP $450. Very happy with mine, who would need hdmi anyhow to play console games on a 24inch, it's what you 40 inch TV is for.

  • I would rather get a 23 inch AOC monitor for $136 that is not from mwave and not wait for a cashback.
