Kind of sick of competitors trying to trick consumers into clickbaiting into looking at their products. It's like the first product they make is version 8 coincidentally.

    • +58

I agree. Same thing happened with my car. Said it was a V6, but I couldn't find V1 to V5 anywhere.

        • +9

          whooosh

        • lol. are you serious :)

    • +3

They done it to go lockstep with the dyson line. Makes sense.

Same as samsung skipping a phone model recently to match the year number (10 to 20).

      • +1

yeah I think Samsung's one was clever

        • +2

And QLED to look like OLED?

    • dyson shareholders on suicide watch

  • +5

    No Dreame V11 on sale?

    • Probably worth waiting on a sale and the new carpet head stock.

  • +5

    Interest in 11 as well

  • waiting for Dreame to come up with the laser tech too

  • anyone know if the battery on the v10 is replaceable? If so how much and from where? thanks

  • Is this au stock?

    • yes, in the first line of the description

      • So, what length of time is the included AU warranty 1 or 2 years like Dyson?

        • 12 months warranty

          • +1

@skido: For this price range for this kind of product the accc might think 2 yrs is more applicable would you not think.

Saw a cheap ( but solid feeling unit ) handheld vacume at Aldi for $35 with 3 yrs warranty.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Gearbite after sending them an email last Friday (26th of March) after being in contact with them on Facebook about a broken part (less than 6 months of use). IME, they're quick to respond if you want to buy something but not so quick if you have a warranty issue.

          • +2

@hullohullo: Please contact us at [email protected], our team will follow up, you can ps me as well.

            • @Gearbite: Thank you for your quick reply here. I'll send another email through and get in touch with you if I don't receive a response by the end of the coming week.

          • @hullohullo: Please come back here to see if you had a response in a timely manner.

I have been using Dreame v9 a years ago paid around $250 but the battery life is too short in comparing with my Dyson DC34. I bought a Samsung Vaccum Jet 70 recently because the price dropped over 200 after Jet 90 came out and a sales person at a local Harvey Norman suggested it over LG ro Dyson. Still too expensive to me, probably Samsungs are most expensive household vaccume in the market but I don't need my dyson and Dreame v9 anymore. it covers 2 floor house. thinking put them on gumtree… Neither of the battery of Dyson or Dreame is replaceable, Samsung jet is.

    • Neither of the battery of Dyson or Dreame is replaceable, Samsung jet is.

actually Dreame v9 battery is replaceable

      • So should the Dyson be for the V7 ( not sure about the DC34 ).

      • I have 2 x Dyson V6. Battery started dying 4 yrs later. Bought the best rated batteries on Amazon (Not original).
Both are unusable. didnt get my vacuum time back.
Now have above model. Feels much better being able to suck up something bigger that a Pea. However still has its issues buy better than the dysons by far

    • I have replaced a Dyson battery

    • I have replaced v6 battery after aprox 5 years of service.

    • I emailed tech support the other week about the V11 and they said you can replace the battery in all the models, just need to unscrew it.

    • Sorry yes the batteries are replaceable but have to unscrew them from the body. what I meant is Samsung has plug type battery block. Thanks for the correcting.

      • It is literally one screw…(for the Dysons at least).

  • I've got a dreame v9 carpet head if anybody needs it.

    • What condition is it in and you can Private Message me.

  • +3

Can you please have a sale on V11 or T20? My money is ready !!

  • Is the soft roller head combo worth it? I have all floors boards at home so I'm thinking it is.

But I don't think I'll be using this that much.

  • What's a good price for this?

    • v10 combo currently is the cheapest ever I believe

v9 and v9 combo is close to the cheapest which was $189 and $249 from memory

v10 also close to cheapest which was $239. The above cheapest were all ebay funded sales though (afterpay promotion)

      these are great prices

  • Any deals on the carpet head for my V9?

  • Why does it say coupon can't be applied?

    • which model are you looking at?

      • The V9 combo with both heads.

        • works just fine on my end. Ensure you have an ebay plus membership to use the code

          • @skido: Was just about to say that… my bad… ebay plus required… Don't need plus but will probably just pay the extra $30 bucks. Thanks mate.

            • @jatyap:

will probably just pay the extra $30 bucks

hand in your ozb badge :p
you can always sign up to a new free trial on another account

              • @skido: LOL. I admit I can be lazy at times. Will make up for it another day.

  • Do you guys sell only the accessories? The brushes on mine are now all freyed.

    • +1

We do have some accessories, you can check out at gearbite.com.au

  • So I'm after the V10 but have no carpet. Am I right that I have to buy the V10 carpet head combo at the higher price? Or should I wait for a special without carpet head? TIA

    • Carpet head will be in the standard package now.

      • That's strange as I have no need for it and I'd just have to onsell it. No deal.

        • The carpet head can do both hard floors and carpet. It's like a bristle brush to agitate carpet strands. However, the soft roller is more like a cloth roller which works better on hard floors, as it can wipe while vacuuming

          • +1

@skido: Thanks Skido. I understood that but there no option to buy only the soft roller. That is what I was after. I'm not a fan of buying something I wont use or is sub par according to tests. I'll wait for the v11 with soft roller only deal.

  • The V10 description above says "upgraded Carpet motorised head" but the ebay listing says "Upgraded All Surface Motorized Head"

All the dreame listing on ozbargain seem very unclear to me..

    • V9 have standard carpet head, v10 have upgraded carpet head.

      • Theres no all surface head? I have a small place and dont want to change heads.

Why does the ebay listing say 'all surface head' 3 times but you say its carpet??

        • the all surface head in the listing is referring to the carpet head I believe.

The carpet head can do both hard floors and carpet. It's like a bristle brush to agitate carpet strands. However, the soft roller is more like a cloth roller which works better on hard floors, as it can wipe while vacuuming

  • Bought the V10 combo with both motorized heads.

I hope it lasts longer than the V9 that I bought from Kogan… sadly the heads stopped spinning due to a power issue somewhere in the unit.
Kogan's making me jump through a heap of hoops in order to get it replaced. First they asked for a video of the fault, which I provided, and now they're asking me for photos of the whole device, every part etc and then they'll come pick it up and attempt a repair before replacing. It's a frustrating process but I'm in need of a vacuum so I've gone ahead with this deal and if I end up with two functioning stick vacuums then I've got one for the office 🤷‍♂️.

    • Have similar problem with mine which was delivered today. Heads not spinning at all.

  • @skido or @Gearbite where can I get just the V10 carpet head? I got one from eBay that was supposed to suit the v10, but the pins on that head were too close together to fit my "Australian" v10. I would appreciate knowing where to buy the more recent v10 carpet head with the wider pins.

  • Can you buy the soft head roller separately for the V10? I have already purchased the V10 from previous deal
with just the all surface head.

  • So, better to wait for v11? But they are $350+. Is it worth paying extra for v11?

  • +2

Hey gearbite, is there any reason why the ebay listing for the Dreame V10 says delivery estimated on or before April 14, but the one I ordered a week ago is only estimated to arrive at the end of April?

    • Should arrive after Easter, we have update ETA couple days ago.

      • Thanks, I will check tomorrow to see if it has changed.

        • It came today! that was quick :)

Happy to answer any questions about the V10 (standard) though i'll be a bit slow and also I have only tested it a couple times.
Just to be clear, it is a standard roller head only, no soft roller head, but it works fine on my hard/timber floors (i assume it was designed to be all surface compatible).

  • Had the dreammi vaccum for two years compare to dyson v6 not that great battery life is worse performance can't see if any better

  • Hey, I'm looking for one just got tiles… What would you recommend? Cheers

    • +1

either the v9 combo or v10 combo as it comes with the soft roller brush which works better on tiles

  • Thanks OP,
I have ordered V9 but now i am confused if i should cancel the order and go for V10? :o
Anyone who have tried both and can tell if V10 offers some extra things they like?

    • +1

V10 have Stronger suction, upgraded carpet motorsied Head, extra Flexible Hose.

  • Hi there, I literally just bought the v10 upgraded on ebay. Is it possible for me to cancel or return it and get the combo instead? Or at least the better price. Thanks

  • Hi Gearbite - I purchased the V9 about 2 years ago.. have the smooth roller head, but this is now only spinning when not touching the ground. As soon as you put it on a surface, the roller stops spinning. Any suggestions?
Thinking of replacing head with the carpet one, any special offers on that?

    Thanks

  • Hey OP, i just bought the v10 for $20 more from previous deal. Is there anything that can be done?

    • -1

I don’t work for gearbite haha

you should pm @gearbite with your order number, see what they suggest

      • Whoops! Generally gearbite are quite responsive and have great customer service. I'll see if they see my comment!

  • I am going to need a new vacum for our new place soon. Is this vacume similar quality compare to a Dyson? It is so much more affordable compare to Dyson's rip off price

  • Anyway I can just buy soft roller head for v9?

  • Is there anyway to buy the v9 carpet head attachment on its own anymore? They don't seem to be stocked anywhere…

    • Carpet head is standard package now, we do not have carpet head separate package at this moment.

  • From the description for V10 combo I do not see in the list : "Carpet Motorised Head and Soft Roller Motorised Head " ?

The list says: 1. Main machine 2. Two in one brush 3. Two in one flat bush 4. Adapter 5. Metal conencting rod 6. All surface brush 7. Charging & storage station 8. Manual 9. Extension hose 10. Electric mite removal brush

Can you clarify where is the "Carpet Motorised Head and Soft Roller Motorised Head " ?
    Thnx

    • Can you clarify where is the "Carpet Motorised Head and Soft Roller Motorised Head " ?

in the title of the listing, it says 2 head combo and the picture shows the two heads. I think they just copied the description from the non combo version, but the above link is 100% correct for the combo version.

    • Combo come with carpet motorised head and soft roller motorised head.

  • Thanks….got the V10 carpet head and used the 10% code plus 3% off eBay gift cards to pay.

  • My delivery arrived yesterday. Very fast shipping to QLD, thanks Gearbite. The ETA said Monday next week so I was pretty pleased.
Significantly more powerful than the V9, and the extra soft roller head works well on my hardwood floors.

First purchase from you guys, but won't be the last. Thanks again
