Can the 5 & 2.4 bands have separate SSIDs?

    • Good q. Also would like to know. Eero does not (just setup for family member)

Unfortunately not - whilst you can rename the network, they both share the same name. A little annoying when trying to make sure you're connecting to 5g only, and can only be configured by a ios/android app. No complaints on performance though.

  • coming up as $139 for me even at checkout

It's a router. Mine plugs into my NBN FTTC NCD.

      • What if im on VDSL with FTTN? i suppose i just use it as an AP plugged into my existing router?

        • +2

Yep. Simply set bridge mode. I use that as I prefer to let my existing and configured router do the routing.

  • Can I just attach to telstra smart modem? Want to retain 4g backup.

  • All my google devices struggle with the MW3… will this have the same problem?

    • +1

For those who missed this deal, Tenda currently sells it for 119.45 via their official eBay store.

On a side note, it can work with your existing router as "dumb" AP if operated in bridge mode (configurable via Tenda app).
