Another gadget to add to the growing list of "things Xiaomi make". This is their take on a handheld garment steamer that doesn't break the bank in price. It's 1200W, has a 160ml water tank capacity, heats up in 30 seconds and the plate heats up to 130°C.

It uses the CN 3 prong plug that looks like an upside AU plug so that might be an issue for some. Though it will still fit into our sockets.

  • Did someone steal JV's account to start putting Chinese Dropshipping opportunities from Banggood? O.o

He kept making changes to his avatar and I kept adding onto it. Easter is over so I need to change it. I've gone through like 80 avatars in 6 years.

Due to policy reasons, this product does not exist……………………..whatever that means!

  • So this will work without issue in a standard Australian socket?

It looks like this so the cable would kinda block access to the switch on a wall outlet. Also lacks the insulation that modern AU plugs have and the grounding pin slightly thinner.

      • Thanks…will wait for an AU version, otherwise would buy immediately.

        • +1

There will never be an AU version.

          • @Clear: Why? they do plenty of AU devices

            • @Gebb: Plug is built in so it's not easily interchangeable. Like what Xiaomi AU sells.

        • It works fine here. Just don't resell it as it doesn't comply with our regulations (missing the insulation at the base of the prongs).

No different to using a Xiaomi powerboard, which have been promoted several times here

      • Mmmmm. So wonder if actually safe to use here as assume these do have a grounding wire. Do the tally up with AU sockets and make good connection?
One could probably insulate the pins with a strip of electrical tape if worried?

      • If you're handy with a screwdriver you can cut off the plug and attach a HPM plug from Bunnings (or equiv). Job done.

  • is this any good?

I'm looking for the cleveland version

    • Hahaha love it!

  • I purchased despite absence of reviews. l found the Banggood website painful. Paid 31.85 in the long run.

    • Agree, the 1990's wants its website back. Couldn't locate the place to enter the coupon code.

  • Yes. It took me 30+ minutes to order with fake free gifts and fake accumulated bonuses plus insistence on insurance. Then I had to update my address for no reason while the website dropped out now and again. I think I will also give up on cashbacks as it is so hard finding the product on the site plus it rarely works.
That are not alone as GearBest is much the same and impossible to get any low key support from.
