    1. Minimum spend is $10 after all
      discounts.

does this mean I have to spend at least $20, to get the $10 off?

    • +2

That's what it says, plus need a Spotlight Card & buy minimum of $20 by 20/1/12.

I think that means after all in-store discounts, (eg it must still be over $10 including after they've taken 30% off cushions or whatever) during the last one of these I had $16 of fabric and used the voucher to pay $6.

      • +1

        so i could but a $11 towel and pay just $1 ?????
        :)

        • +3

          I believe so

        • +1

yes! we bought 8 glass cups which cost $11. we only paid $1 :-)

        • oh,my god, if like this , it's so cheap!

  • My Mrs is a Mr but he has a spotlight card. Good find.

    • I am the Mrs in a Mr-Mr relationship. I wonder if 10 dollars is worth dropping in the city.

      • +1

        You mis-spelt your name.

  • perfect timing,i have to buy something at spotlight for my diy projector screen. this will help! thanks!

I think you only need to spend over $10. Last time they had this promo I spent $12 used the voucher and only had to pay $2.

    • yeah. you need to spend over $10. The lady stopped me today but because items under-scanned resulting in an $8 total. LOL

  • +2

Those conditions are really good too, 1 coupon per customer per day. So you could go in there every day of the week if you live nearby and need to buy lots of small stuff :)

    • Yep. I have, and intend to go back multiple times.

  • Thanks. Just in time for the mrs to buy fabric.

  • go and buy $10.05 of fabrics or whatever each day and only pay 5 cents.
    BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They're usually not as vague when it comes to minimum spends etc. It could be meant either way.

If you need to join up, you can do it instore on the day if you like (obviously before making the purchase)

  • The POS will then automatically apply the discount? WAT?

    • +1

the register will apply the discount from scanning in the voucher to your total spend (ie. take $10 off it)

    • Pos = point of sale if that's what the "wat" was about..in case u were wondering.

I can confirm, I went and bought $10.65 worth of needles and thread, gave the voucher and paid $0.65. Nice.

  • Excellent!! Thank you.

I bought a drink bottle and two glasses for $11.50 and only paid $1.50.
Has anyone tried to go back more than once in the week? Like voucher says, you can use once per day.

  • +1

Yep, went two days in a row and it worked perfectly. It may piss the people working there off, but they will be seeing me daily until the promotion runs out :)

    • same here.
and they dont really care :)

Thanks very much for posting the $10 voucher for Spotlight.
    I think it's great!
How did you come across this?
Please let us know if the offer comes by again.

    • Facebook. Wifey found it.

Sorry for the delay in response ladies and gents. The wife posted this on my behalf, and unfortunately I didn't get around to fielding questions.

    To answer some questions….

She found the item on facebook.

If you purchase an item worth $11, you would only end up paying $1.
We weren't asked for a spotlight card (however I am not sure if this is dependent on you having one)
Staff are trained to ask for one, or attempt surname lookup, however at further counters this is not the case.
We tried to avoid swiping the VIP rewards card as we used this twice each in a day (just re-print the coupon)

To give you some idea, bought a hat (with an australia badge on it) which was usually ~$12-$14 but had 30% off on it. (resulting price $9.09). Added some scrapbooking thingo (worth a buck) to bring the total to $10.09. The lady asked for 10 cents, All good.
Scored a LARGE sombrero like hat (now to become my fishing hat for 10 cents.

  • Does anyone know how to make multiple vouchers of this to fit one A4 paper?

    • Copy or screenshot it, paste into word, crop and resize to perfect size, select image, press ctrl + C, press ctrl + P a thousand times, move vouchers/images around page.

      • Thanks for that. It bugs the heck out of me having to print a single coupon on a page.

    • +1

      a true ozbargainer indeed :)
i printed one on portrait setting, 1/2 page; then turned the paper upside down n placed it into the printer again n printed another one

  • thanks heaps OP and wifey

this should definitely had more + votes

    • +1

      She's certainly a + in my books. :)

  • I was talking to a fellow customer in there yesterday and she tells me they ran the same offer not long before Christmas.

  • This is a great deal Mr's bought a Koo bath towel for $1.95 going back tomorrow for another one! Please let us know if they do this deal again.

I went to Spotlight today and bought $11 worth of stuff, used the voucher and paid $1. I also brought a workmate along, and since he didn’t want to buy anything, I got him to buy $10.50 worth of stuff, used the voucher and paid $0.50
So $21.50 worth of stuff for $1.50 - definately a bargain!

  • I've been using it everyday and no problems!!

  • Thanks for sharing this, I've gone in each day and now have a nice new towel collection for next to nothing.

    • :P

I have been sending husband in at lunchtime for towels (he works nearby)

it seems you may be able to tell an ozbargainer by their linen closet!

I say again this deal .. it should have MOAR positives

  • I went there 5 days straight and even got the family and friends into it. So far got 2 water keg, 3 piece BBQ set , 3 long stem flowers and a teapot. Love the bargains and like Natt said need more postives.

  • Forgive me, for I have not taken advantage of a freebie on OzBargain…
I am a sad case - went to Spotlight & came home with my $10 voucher unspent. Wandered around the store for an hour. Have too many towels, etc. I have never done this before - walk away from free stuff. I usually bring home junk I find on the street in case it is useful. Decided not to get any more junk as house needs less of it. But popping back today to see if I am still aflicted.

  • Did you guys get a VIP card mailed to you after you joined their VIP club? I joined months ago but never got a card :S Cant seem to find my member ID number on the website too
