      Unless this has changed recently, the apple pay card only works at afterpay registered merchants. It can't be used on any tap to pay terminal.

  Chemist Warehouse. Ebay. It shows giftcards for Ebay, Woolies, Amazon, and others, but haven't tried it. Someone above said they couldn't get buying gift cards to work. BUT… note that my targeted email does say "IN STORE" on it. So I think I'll just go to Chemist Warehouse and buy $21+ worth of stuff.

I didn't received the email or seen it on the popup, but I went to the app (on my iphone), I clicked all the tabs below back and forth and when I click the "Card" tab on the app, it magically appeared ($20 OFF). Try it.

Tried getting Netflix gift card in-store at Big W but declined by the system when paying. Before I tried, the staff also said that it would be declined by Afterpay, but I just tried anyway.

      Okay, I might actually be using it incorrectly, as I didn’t select Apple Pay when activating the Afterpay Card.
      
      But seems irrelevant because we generally are able to use Afterpay Card without an Apple Pay (regardless of the current promo). Which it already failed twice for me when having Afterpay Card with a direct credit card option.
      
      I might try again on another store when I get a chance.

        @abc: First I went to the Card tab and select Apple Pay as the payment method. Then I tapped on ‘Activate the Afterpay Card’ and select a credit card.
        
        Once set up, I tap on ‘Payment with Afterpay Card’ which opened the Apple Wallet, and then I selected the Afterpay (prepaid) Card.
        
        Apparently, I need to repeat the ‘Activate the Afterpay Card’ again for the next purchase after the first one was successful.

        @angelique008: I double tapped the on/off button when trying at Big W and Myer but didn’t work. (Note that I selected a credit card as payment method when at these shops)
        
        When trying at David Jones, I did it directly from the Afterpay app after selecting my payment method as Apple Pay and then tapping on ‘Payment with Afterpay Card’, which in the end still opened the Apple Wallet. This worked.

        @abc: I used self-serve checkout at Big W so it used the payment terminal/device. But the wait staff kind of seeing that I tried attempting the Afterpay Card (since he said that Afterpay may not accept Netflix GC. I tried purchasing a GC and an item to make up the $21+)
        
        For Myer, I said I was going to use Afterpay. But when the staff saw that I was actually going to use the Afterpay Card, he then enabled the payment terminal as well (the usual one to pay via debit/credit card). Not sure if Afterpay still allows their old barcode style payment though.
        
        And lastly, I didn't say anything at David Jones. I just took out my phone and the staff just assumed it's an NFC/Apple Pay and opened the usual payment terminal as well. I just tapped on it, and voila, it worked.

  Customer service is no help when you highlight this. Just parrots "not supported" or points you on how to use Afterpay Card (I am using it correctly according to them - open it through the App not through Apple Pay Wallet. Not sure why that would make a difference but whatever.

brought a $50 bunnings gift card via iphone app took me to afterpays website but had no option to pay with afterpay card only amex payment card listed got $30 off as i had referral credit no $20 off . maybe i should have brought the $100 gift card instead?. its a bit misleading saying you can use it online when it doesnt work. has anyone been able to use it online to get their $20 off yet and if so where? maybe best going instore to myer or big w to get a gift card? but would that work and be allow and whats the minimum spend in store $100? target says minimum spend instore is $100 and *Excludes Gift Cards. maybe i should getting something online at target over $21?

Afterpay can be used to pay for most BIG W products online at bigw.com and in all BIG W stores, with the exception of the following:
