Dyson V11 Outsize 169,430 Qantas Points (or $1090.97 + 2000 QFF Points) @ Qantas Store

80

Found this while looking at what I could spend my meagre amount of points on. It's on sale, sadly I still can't afford it.

Wait, v11 was on sale at $999 from other retailers.

Why you are paying over $1k for it?

    • Don’t think the outsize was?

        • There's a new model out now, it features a conical tangle free tool for picking up hair (not worth the extra $200+ IMO). It retails at $1200ish. The $999 was a sale running out the old model.

Edit - the Qantas one IS the old model… What a rip off

This is a huge waste of 169,430 Qantas Points

    • I saw what you did there :)

      • pun unintended. but seriously, it would be huge waste of 169,430 points.

I ordered the dreame v11, been really happy with its performance so far.
Don't think I can ever justify spending on a dyson anymore.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 $1k for a hand vac.. good one Dyson!!

Would you like to spend $600 on a fan that looks futuristic but doesn't really work very well instead?

      • -1

🤣🤣🤣 $600.. It's a hand vac.. a HAND VAC. You can get a smart phone for that much.

Get a decent quality vac 300-400 that's much better performance and bang for buck.

    • $400,000 on a car, good one Ferrari!

I can buy a Belini stick vac and 2 xiaomi robos for this kinda cash

  • QFF points usually sell for 1c per point. Which translates to over $1600 for this 'steal'. Not worth it.
If I had those many points, I would rather sell them for $1600 and buy this Dyson for about 1k and pocket the rest.
Better, I would pocket all of it 🤭

    • If you using 1QFF => 1cent, you're doing it wrong. You should get at least 3 cent per point conversion. That makes 169,430 => $5082.9

You should never use QFF to exchange for products in the Qantas Store. It is a total ripoff!

      • Other than business class flights, what else can you redeem points on for that’s sort of return? I’ve got about 500k points.

        • I have been using it for flights and exchanges, and it always work out near 3c/points for me. I never use it to buy anything from the Qantas Store, as the conversation rate is really rip off. Cheaper to buy things elsewhere.

      • Where did you get your stat's from?

        • From my own spending, so this deal is extremely poor (in my opinion). YMMV

The only thing outsize is the price……

  • I bought the Dreame T20 instead for $509. Upgraded from a Dyson V6. Well worth it. Not sure the Dyson V11 is worth it at $1000+
