I've ordered their 1kg bags a few times now (6x bags in total). Can definitely recommend all varieties I've tried so far. We are otherwise Campos drinkers so it's in that range of quality/taste. I'd recommend these guys (and I have no affiliation with them).

    • Hey sencibel - thanks so much for your positive comments.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • True !! I’ll be ordering my 3rd today (thanks for the deal Dan). Pretty good coffee and delivery is super quick.

      • Great to hear b0nd - thanks so much for sharing.

    • +1

sorry, i object! its better than Campos!

      • While this is a good coffee, Campos is definitely a better tasting bean, but thats my opinion.

Pity AIRJO never put on a decaf for discount

        • I ordered a few Campos last time and the only good ones were the expensive Geishas…

    • I agree - definately better than mass-producted Campos after ordering last time…

Just ordered 1kg, thanks OP! Looking forward to using it with my aeropress.

Does anyone grind their beans using a breville smart grinder pro? Would be keen to know what settings you use for the aeropress, TIA

    • Thanks so much DBC!! - please let us know how it goes for you in the Aeropress.

      Thanks
      Dan

      • I do not have a grinder, but want to use in my Aeropress too. What pre-ground coffee grind do you recommend?

        • Forget about that question, you have an Aeropress grind already! Wow. I'm impressed.

    • +2

For the Mokapot I grind on setting 25. Not Aeropress, but in case someone else is interested.

    • +2

I usually do my Aeropress grind at 35

      • +1

Thanks Chickenleg! I'll give that a try. I'm coming from using a Chemex, and so am more accustomed to using a coarser setting at around 50.

    • smart grinder has internal gears to further adjust grind range, not sure anyone else's grind coarseness setting/dose will necessarily be applicable?

  • This stuff is amazing!

    • Thank you, thank you, thank you………

  • Are you able to do 1kg bag into 2 x 500g? 1 for office use and 1 for home use?

    • +4

Sorry Cisco - we can't change the configuration.
If you can find an airtight container that you can keep cool and out of sunlight the beans will last very well given they are roasted just today.

      Hope that helps.

      Thanks
      Dan

    • I froze my last batch and it had definitely retained the flavour compared to fresh packet I used.

  • Hey Dan. What’s the optimum time to use? Some say 2 weeks after the roast date but it depends on the bean. My Mokapot splutters when I brew close to the roast.

Your beans are the bees knees.

    Thanks mate.

Hey rickb - the jury is out on that one as you would expect but in general the premium window is 4 to 14 days - I prefer towards the 14 day personally . That said we have customers who insist on the early days. If you are getting better result after waiting a little then thats the best for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • How long does the ground coffee last once opened?

Don't have a grinder so looking at the stovetop grind

    • +1

Hey doc - if you keep the bag sealed and cool and dry it will still be super tasty for at least 2 or 3 weeks.

      Hope that helps.
      Cheers
      Dan

      • +1

        What about freezing the coffee?

        • +1

I've stretched mine out to 6 months. Won't be as good as fresh of course but beans were still adequate from my experience.

  • +2

damn.. any chance something with enterprise or the others? Sumatra was my least fav of the ones i've tried

    • +2

Hey freestyle - you can use the SAVE20 code on any other blend at the moment.

  • +1

Had a slightly bad experience the first time I ordered (but Dan fixed it up right away). I think I just got a bad batch because I've ordered the Sumatra many times now and its really good!

    For this price, 100% recommend.

Only tip is that these are seriously roasted and shipped almost straight away, and you might get them the next day after they are roasted. Should let coffee de-gass for at least 4-5 days after roasting before making coffee with them for best results.

The express aus post is amazing too, so many other places ship with couriers please, fastway, etc…all hopeless.

    • By "de-gass" you do mean open the bag?

      • +2

Hey rickb, the valve in the bag will let it de-gas - let gas out but not air in. Seal the bag after opening and valve will continue to work.

        Hope that helps.
        Cheers
        Dan

    • Thanks so much for your comments and support - means a lot.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Thanks OP, these are great, just bought 4 to divide with the family

    • Great stuff eric - thanks so much!

  • Can also vouch for Airjo - have ordered on an off from them for a while, if it wasn't for the fact I just picked up a kilo elsewhere I would snap one of these up too!

    • Thank you admira - really appreciate the good word.

  • +1

I bought some Sumatra beans last time and have not had success dialling these in with a Breville Barista Express. The Colombian beans I bought previously were awesome.

    • +2

Hey kazzman - reach out to me on DM if you like and I can try and help with dialing in.
Or email me directly any time [email protected]

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Me too Dan! I'm finishing my first bag and still far from getting it right on Barista Express.
But I'm not giving up and will be getting another bag from this deal to keep trying.
Appreciate if you could please give me a hand on dialing in too. Cheers!

    • The columbian is better than these imo.

  • saw that they support crypto payments - had to buy in support of that decision :D

  • Hi OP - can I order now to be posted a week or two later?

    • +1

Hey ckt - these ones are pretty well automated to ship when ordered.

  • +1

    Just ordered a bag.
How long after opening the bag does it take for the beans to start tasting off?

  • +1

Hi Chron - if you keep the bag sealed and cool and dry - the freshness will last many many weeks.
The premium flavour window is normally within the first couple of weeks from roast and then it will slowly deteriorate.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers
    Dan

    • Thanks!

An Ozbarg fave for a reason. Seriously quick shipping and great beans <3

    • Thanks so much Junglegreen!!!

      Cheers
      Dan

      • thanks OP hoping for the same price as Sumatra, no luck but ordered anyway

        • Thanks Hearthstone - really appreciate it.

  • This was quite good last time. Wish they came in 250g bags!
    Bought.

  • These are fantastic. Got some!!
    Thanks op

    • Thanks so much dylanando!!

$30/kg? I better find gold nuggets inside!

    • +7

$30 per kilo is quite reasonable. That doesn't even factor in the free express postage.

    • For good beans freshly roasted, that's actually a good deal. I guess it depends what you compare it to.

    • I hear some people selling coffee for $60 per kg. Those have free gold nuggets included. Also the farmers sprinkled gold dust on the plants for them to grow.

  • +2

Just ordered one this morning and it dispatched within hours. Impressive. I've been drinking Aldi coffee beans. Hopefully this is worth the extra $$.

    • MJi welcome to AIRJO and thanks for giving us a go!

Super keen to hear your feedback when it suits.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • Haha you leaving the Aldi medium club.

    Great coffee from these guys.

  • Dammit just got 1kg of Aldi beans. Have to wait.

    • +1

Hey Naigrabzo !! - we will be here for you when you are ready :)

  • Bought a 1kg bag again.

Anybody got a breville barista express and can tell me the dial/grind settings lol

  • Thanks so much OP. Just put my first order in thanks to the great feedback above. Have a great day :-) Sharon.

    • Great to hear Sharon thanks so much for giving us a go.
Super keen to hear your feedback.

      Cheers

  • Hi OP. Thanks for the deal, just placed my first order. A quick question, I have a Breville Bambino which uses a double wall, pressurised basket. As I dont have a grinder, I selected the "Espresso" grind option. Would this be fine or is this too fine for the coffee to pour through? Thanks.

    • This should be good as gold for you umz93 - really appreciate your order and happy to help when you are dialing in if you need it.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • What grind setting shall I use with a Breville Club Oracle please anyone ??

  • I can vouch for this blend. It is fantastic.. my guests always compliment on the depth in flavour.

    • Great to hear!! Thanks so much for sharing :)

  • I use AeroPress and NanoPresso alternatingly, which ground type I should choose? AeroPress or Espresso?

    • +1

Different enough grind sizes that one will be great and the other wont.
You could go middle ground (excuse the pun) and get a stovetop grind. That would be "ok" in both.
Other wise grab espresso for a great NanoPresso and average AeroPress.

      • Uhm … tough choice … but thanks for answering my question.

I will get espresso this time to use my nanopresso more. Thanks again.

    • For my delter press, I set my Breville grinder at 20, water @85deg and let the coffee "soak" for at least 1 minute before pressing.

      • This is the first time I heard about delter press. Have you used AeroPress before? How do they compare? Thanks.

        • +1

We replaced the aeropress with delterpress since it was getting ratty. Very similar function wise.

  • Have beans from the last sale but have tried this roast and is good with a V60

    • Great to hear Spicy!! Thanks for sharing.

  • Ordered! Sumatra Beans are da best! Wohoo!
