Open Back Headphones under $200

Looking for all-purpose (music, gaming) open back headphones like the last thread but able to spend a little bit more at $200. Must be over ear.

Currently looking at options such as HD599, HD58X, K702, and K371 even though they are closed back due to a recommendation I saw in the comments of a HD599 thread. Very salty that I missed the HD58X deal last year.

Thanks

The Phillips Fidelio line usually hit around the $200 mark on sale. I have the X2s which have great sound and are very comfortable with great build quality for the price. Can't comment on the X2HRs which are the current model but I've heard they're decent.

Very happy with my X2HRs. Prefer them to my other Audio Technica / Beyerdynamic / Sony XM3s

Audio Technica is worth looking at. I was using a pair but switched xm4s for the convenience of wireless and noise cancellation.

2nd Audio Technica. Excellent open backs.

  • I got some Plantronics RIG 800's (I think…) open back, wireless, USB. I got them on sale for well under $200. Very happy with them.

  • If you can snag the HD599 for under $200 then I can't recommend them enough. I prefer them over my HD58X mainly due to comfort but they sound almost as good too.

  • I use Audio Technica ATH PDG1 Open Back Gaming Headphones. They are absolutely fantastic.
