  • Is it official Australian distribution?

Can I use eBay plus a sign up $50 voucher with this 10% coupon?
Can I use an eBay gift card to pay when using this coupon?

    • You can't use the $50 signup voucher, but you can use gift cards with the coupon code.
And you should get Google manufacturer warranty

  • Have you checked if 10% works with this purchase. When I search on the eBay coupon page for eligible items, this phone is not there.
Sorry for a lot of questions; I want to make sure before signing to eBay plus.

    • +1

Yep, I just made a purchase using the code :)

    • I'm seeing $538.19 - being $597.99 "Pay only AU $538.19 [PLUSFL10]"

  • Saving nearly $60. New one should be coming out soon right?

    • +1

yeah, sometime between August and October (maybe Nov).

The 4 kinda sucks compared to the 4a and 5. Get one of those for likely a similar price in just a few months. Longer period remaining for OS updates, and 5G also kind of future proofs you if you want to get a few years out of it.

  • Anyone know where you can get a cracked screen repaired on a 4a 5g for a reasonable price in Melbourne?

    • The screen and digitiser part itself costs ~$370ish wholesale (Depending on the value of our dollar on the day).
If anyone is offering you a replacement for less than that, they're using counterfeit parts.

If you get a quote for under $400, that's a fair price.

      • Really? Ouch. Phone itself cost 599 about 3 weeks ago :(

    • I just got the screen and digitiser replaced on my wife's P5 for $420 at fixaphone in Carlisle Street St Kilda. I paid $750 for the phone from Telstra late last year so not happy spending >50% of the cost of the phone for a new screen. They did an amazing job given the state of the screen when I gave it to them (white bars along the side and bottom, completely shattered and unresponsive).

  • +2

It's only $60 more to get the 4a 5g from Telstra. Decent upgrade for the difference.

    • +2

I was just about to post this - bigger screen, bigger battery, 5g connectivity and wide lens camera - at only $60 extra, it's a no Brainer

      • +2

May be for people who prefer compact phone

      • +1

Why is bigger better? Less comfortable to hold, doesn't fit in your pocket,….

      • +1

Bigger screen is a massive negative for me.

        • Fair enough, but then if a small form factor is all you're after, there's much better deals in this price bracket

    • +3

Not everyone likes brick size phones ;)

      • I would have called the 4a 5g average size at most by today's standards.

        4a: 144 x 69.4 x 8.2 mm
        4a 5g: 153.9 x 74 x 8.2 mm
        Note 20: 161.6 x 75.2 x 8.3 mm

  • Anyone think JB will price-match? Have gift-cards I'd like to use up

    • +1

No. They don't price match coupons/codes.
