  • Thanks for sharing

  • What does this do for Qantas points if any?

    • It's a 10x conversion so you get 1000 Qantas points per $100 of these gift cards

  • Are these just $20 $50? $100 cards?

    • +1

Yeah OP you should include this detail in your post.

      • Sorry I should have been more specific. I'm looking at the party one. Can't find it on the Woolies website >_>

        • For AG Lego? They seem to be only $25 and $40 for Party cards :(

  • If I buy Google Play gift cards now, how long are they valid for?

Argh $40 per card is painful.

    Keep in mind this point:

For TCN Restaurant gift cards, a limit of two per day

I was caught out on this again last time (thinking the limit was five), so had to call EDR to get the points credited. So just do separate transactions with your other EDR accounts if you have multiple to get around the daily limit.

I'm surprised (and annoyed) on this limit given it's not variable load card!

    • Can use this giftcard in most of the restaurants?

      • Should be accepted almost anywhere (including fast food). The annoying thing is the remaining few cents/dollars which can be a hassle to use up (been using some of mine on 50c soft serves at Maccas and then discarding the cards if there's only like under 20c or so left.

        • are you sure?

          • @Cataclysm: I mean at almost any restaurant (can depend which MCC it's under), see link posted by Craze below.

        • another annoying thing is that many restaurants have an undisclosed surcharge so when you try to put through the $100 it gets declined.

        • At McDonalds, if you owe $5 and have $1 left on your card, you can pay $4 cash and the rest on card.
At HJ's you can do split payment across mulitple cards e.g. $1 on one card and $4 on another.

          • @rabbit71: I've tried at Hungry Jack's in the past and I think they were the same as Macca's with needing to part pay with cash. Or is it with a kiosk that makes it possible?

            • +1

@MiscOzB: Drive thru allows multiple cards. That has been my go-to for using the remaining balances.

    • Where does it mention this in the terms and conditions?

It just says. "Unless specified, a limit of 10 cards per day per Rewards."

I am assuming there's a place where it's specified but where?

      • That's weird, seems the rest of the t&cs have been cut off as they're usually spread out on 2 pages (and after "Rewards" it should say member/card, also there's no full stop). So I'd still be expecting it to be a 2 card limit, but if so you could just call to get them to credit the points noting the t&cs say 10 cards (with no mention of a 2 card limit).

They made changes to some of the Woolworths catalogues after they were published this week and accidentally removed the end of the terms and conditions which ran onto the following page. You can see the complete version here.

  • Rookie question; Anyone know whether the 20x can be stacked with a 10x points boost from the EDR app

    • Doesn't stack.

  • Newbie question, for Rebel, can we use multiple gift card on 1 transaction? Thanks

  • +1

The catalogues says limits of 10 cards per member per day, and on all denominations.

    • I also was curious about this.

It just says. "Unless specified, a limit of 10 cards per day per Rewards."

I am assuming that we can get 10 Restaurant cards, but would like it to be clarified.

      • bought 4 separately. per above mentioned, it's actually still max 2 cards per rewards.
spent a lot of time to explain with shop assistant, cancel then rescan / reapprove.

        • Did you buy 2 Restaurant cards at the end? I bought 2 today, no issue.
As it is 2 per day per reward, I am thinking to buy two more tomorrow…. wonder if anyone has done that

  • +2

Bought one today, paid with the special supermarket gift card

    • Can you get this regularly with discount somewhere or have to stock up when deals come along?

      • Depending on which one you are after, they seem to have them every few months

    • which supermarket gift card?

The special gift cards discounted at nab goodies or amex

  • Has anyone tried using TCN Restaurant or Pub to pay for Doordash or to buy custom-value Doordash gift cards recently?
I tried to use TCN Restaurant to pay and TCN Pub to purchase gift card but neither worked.
It was reported working in Ozbargain in May25 and Feb24.
