My company installs a 1.5kw system in Canberra for $1850 and it isn't a bargain, just our normal price.

    • I also saw a quote of $1799 for a 1.5kw system, Sydney.

      • can i have the website please? and you think they are good company?

    • OP got ripped!

  • Vasco,

How much does your company charge to install 1.5Kw at Port Macquarie?

  • -1

Not a bargain (according to Vasco)

Truevalue solar looks much cheaper. http://www.truevaluesolar.com.au/products/specials/

reported to be really dodgy on Whirlpool.

      • not true, i've read mixed reivews, mate that used them is pretty happy with his… ill probably go with them as well.

your only ever going to get people who had bad experiences write, and id say given TVSs price they would have a pretty large market share… that said, year there does seem to be some dodgy installers out there.

  • looks a bit shifty to me.

  • What about the brand of the panels and Inverter, Size of the inverter, etc? How much surcharge if it's a double story? There are many other factors into it before deciding that it's a bargain or not..

I've got 1.5 kw system installed in double story with Conergy Panels (German Brand should still manufactured in China or Taiwan) and Eaton (Taiwan) 2 kw inverter (so that I can add couple more panels later). It was installed for 2800 about 7 months back. I am happy how it has been contributing for the environment and my pocket so far.

Vasco - Do your company install around Melbourne and Geelong ?

    • I am sure if you give him your credit card details they will be over next week.

  • Cheapest I've seen in Perth is $999 for 1.5KW in the local papers. No mention of the panel or inverter brands.

Too many variables with PV to consider this a bargain….If the equipment is all "lucky dragon" it's too dear but using one of the 3 trusted inverter suppliers it might be ok….

I would refuse to use any PV company that doesn't clearly quote brand and model of equipment. If they don't the bait 'n' switch normally follows…

This ozbargainer is either stupid or being shifty. He has done 2 posts so far in 2 days. The first post was an eagles boys deal which wasn't actually a deal. How did you find out about the "special" code?

    • Maybe Affiliate?

      • +1

Also have a look at user kal5330 (#69167), who has the same kind of posting history, misleading comments and identical grammar. That user also registered within 2 days of the poster of this deal.
Don't know what the connection between Eagle Boys and Solar Power City is but these two are clearly sock puppet accounts.

        • maybe just to try throw you?

  • This guy 1st post was fail Pizza store and was suspected a undeclared store rep

This is a site for bargains not adverts. Please remove this.

  • I am tipping that english isn't OP's first language judging by the description he gave.
however i agree that to many variables to post here unless you can back it up.

i have solar, 2.1kw system and cost $9500 installed (only $1500 out of pocket)
nowdays it quite a long payback with the small grants offered.

my payback was 3 years without exporting any excess.

So unless you do your sums, and whirlpool is a great place for info, most people wouldnt even benifit in a system.

    • 2.1 1500 out of pocket… from where???

out of topic but can someone confirm if government will still give support ($) when we install solar?
