120
PAPR15

Not as cheap as the original deal I bought it in. Link

But a decent markdown on a good car seat

The main reason that we bought this was because of the good rearward (till 2.5y ) and decent forward facing safety scores on childcarseats.com.au , canstar and choice

I have this one aswell and no complaints from me, easy to transfer between cars, easy to get bub in/out

  • Do you have to use isofix with this seat or can you use standard seatbelt too?

    • I believe you can use any isofix seats with regular seatbelts as well .
And it is just as safe !! https://www.childcarseats.com.au/latest-news/new-ratings-for…

      • Yep, it should be just as safe. The problem is that ISOFIX is much more fool proof, so chances are higher of a seatbelt seat being installed incorrectly (which therefore makes it less safe).

If installed properly, there is nothing wrong with using the seatbelt.

        • For backwards facing, it's also a LOT more stable. We bought a cheapie without isofix for second car and we regret it.

          • @fruxo: We have isofix in main car and seatbelt in second car and both seem equally stable. Are you sure it’s installed correctly?

            • @loksmack: Backwards facing? Yes I'm sure. Maybe it depends on the exact design and the seatbelt path, but it's clearly not possible to get it even nearly as tight as with isofix for our design. Same issue with our capsule earlier (we had one with isofix and one with seatbelt) so it's not a once off issue.

Our forward facing with seatbelt is perfectly fine as the seat has better contact surface. But if I could go back in time, I would definitely get isofix for everything except maybe the forward facing one.

              • @fruxo: I found the surface of the seat (and not having additional layers on it) helps with gripping. also putting pressure onto the seat to ensure the belt is as tight as possible (and locked into position).
