I love the fact even items listed on the promotional/sale pages aren't actually eligible for the discount.. Could eBay get anymore slack?!

sounds like you are not enjoying great savings

Need to pitch some MEGA (Make Ebay Great Again) hats.

      • +3

Was it ever "great" though? Before Amazon it was the only thing we had, but I don't think it was ever great. The occasional 20% off sitewide sales around the Amazon launch was great though.

        • +1

It was great when people sold cool and weird junk from their garages and you'd find interesting collector items for cheap prices. But then they started having very punishing rules for sellers and it got more expensive. Ebay is no longer great now that 99% of the stuff there is cheap Chinese crap.

        • When eBay first had promo, there were 50% off ..

  • +3

Doesn’t seem to work on the search page provided for me. Am looking at an iPad but only the $50 can apply with the other code. Not this 15-% off code

    WH-1000XM4.
Likely an unpopular opinion. Had the Bose QC35 II for a long time, sold on eBay for a really decent price as I was excited to switch to WH-1000XM4. Regret it big time. To my ear the Bose wins. Prefer the Bose NC. But what I wasn't prepared for is how damn hot the earpads get. Sweat. Ears can't breath in the Sony like they could in the Bose. I do prefer the navigation and controls of the Sony. I'll switch back one day - might wait and see what the next QC35 iteration looks like. Disappointing purchase of the year for me. Realise it's down to personal choice.

    • +2

That's interesting. I have a Bose QC35 (gen 1) and was about to pull the trigger on the XM4's.
Only reason I'm buying the Sony is my Bose's are falling to bits.

      • +3

What's falling to bits? If it's just the earpads/cushions, just buy replacements and keep a good thing in service.

        • +1

I've already replaced the pads, its just the plastic bits on the sides that seem to be coming loose as well. I could probably glue things back together, but was looking for an excuse to upgrade. If it's still a bit of a sidegrade I'll hold off - I definitely rate the QC35's.

          • +1

@Wally Simmonds: yeah the plastic rings with clips? at least on my those are really loose, I don't think the pads comes with those rings?

          • @Wally Simmonds: Roger that… feel free to DM me if you're tossing the QC35s. I'm more than happy to crack out the plastic welder and put in some work to get them solid again.

            • @nitens: I didn't even know this existed! What brand are you using? Just did a Google and there are some cheap ones around.

              • @Sammyboy: Just a cheapie… Doesn't have a brand on it that I can see. Way better than glue, but some of the uv hardened glues can do the trick too.

        • +1

Yes I bought new earpads for my Bose QC35 II on Ebay for $8 and they're as good as new.

          • +2

@dami: Thanks everyone. I'm just going to keep the QC35's and have modified it so it looks a little less busted.

See, this is why the ozbargain community is really good!

      • I mean, they are great - I just think QC35II is greater. To be honest I think I'm an anomaly. I can run hot. I think that's where the issue starts and ends. I breathe better in the Bose. I personally don't think you will regret it. The navigation, volume up/down, hold fingers over to quit ANC is superior on the Sony.
I am alone. Reviews all over YouTube tell me I'm wrong. Really just said it to guage if anyone shares the heat/sweat issue with me. Find the QC35II more comfortable to wear even outside the heat issue - possible I have a weird head :)

        • haven't tried the bose, but i stopped wearing my sonys outside around october because it was just getting too much. they sound great, but i also run hot and they make me sweat like crazy

      • +1

I personally recommend sticking to the QC35s unless there are significant issues with it.
Though in terms of comfort, the Bose headphones are definitely better. The XM4s really require you to find the perfect size, too loose or too tight and they'll press incorrectly on your ears and cause discomfort. Though the XM4s have better sound quality. ( I have both and neither get 'hot' … )
Also, the QC35s are better if you have a big head.
In terms of repairability, XM4s are easier to take apart while the Bose has a lot of delicate ribbon cables and glue.

    • +2

I have the x3 and Bose. The Bose are definitely more comfortable but the sound quality and noise cancelling/isolation are better on the Sony. It would be hard to pick only one but for comfort Bose definitely wins

    • +2

I currently own both the QC35 & XM3 (not sure what's different to the XM4). I find them pretty close on NC and sound quality but the QC wins everywhere else, comfort, controls (physical buttons vs garbage touch control), connectivity (the Bose can connect to 2 audio sources, the Sony can't). I also find the battery life much better on the Bose, but that could be down to usage (the QC35's stay at work).

    • I have never found anything more comfortable than the QC35, I've changed between QC35ii, xm2, xm3, px, pxc, pxc450/550, etc etc. Also I don't like bloated bass, I like the more neutral respond of the QC35ii.

    • If you're running in the warmer months I'd suggest earphones such as WF-1000XM3 and headphones for the cooler months.

  • Decent discounts using this code, just got a bottle of tequila from BoozeBud…

Appeared on this deal's icon, I have. Escape in my 1992 honda civic, I must. On my trail, the ATO are.

  • Does not look like that this code can be used alongside the Shopback eBay cashback flash sale later today.

  • +3

    The name's Jack…. Price Jack.

  • So I'm guessing this won't stack with the 25% Shopback from 4pm onwards?

  • +1

Seems to be some price jacking going on.

Weber Go Anywhere listed on the Weber website for $129, but as part of this deal it's $149, which conveniently brings it down to $126.65 after discount.
    .

  • Very good price for XM4

  • XM4 has fundamental design flaw, buyers beware.

RMA folks are clueless about it too.

  • Are these XM4 good for ps5 and gaming via steam to pc?
