I think I'll wait until it drops to $15.

    • That moment will come. You just need to wait until they release Mi Band 8.

      • The 5 was that price recently, so shouldn't take that long.

The difference between versions is so small, it's worth only upgrading a few weeks before the next version comes out…

Mi band 5 was released about a year ago. How long did it take to get to $15?

            almost a year.

willing to wait a year to get the 6 for $15… Not worth upgrading at this price.

            • @jv: Good for you.

              • @Ughhh: Yep, good for lots of people, not just me…

          • @Ughhh: do you have a link for miband 5 for $15. i am quite interested. Kindly advise. Thank you :) @jv

      • Based on past bargains, that would be slightly before the Mi band 7. Limited quantity of course.

  • Pretty sure I have an email from banggood or something trying to flog these for $130.

  • ive heard the heart beat sensor or the sleep tracking is not accurate, can anyone comment on it who has previous mi bands vs another high end smart watch?

if only this thing has NFC and works outside China…
and i am still waiting for someone to create real smart band, without any fitness features. like long battery, NFC, advance notification, voice command, maybe IR remote, etc etc

i mean why we want to know how many steps we have done today ???
if at 11pm the band say i have not walked alot , i need to go out walk in pijama? useless ….

    and sleep tracking ? useless….
dream maker device, yes i agree this is super important to have.
and also a device that can make me sleep in 5 seconds.

    • You want an IR remote but no accelerometer/heart sensor (that covers most of the fitness features)?

I just got my Mi Band 6 (previously had 1, 3, and wearOS watch), and I find step tracking to be quite useful.

I also find NFC useless on a wearable device unless it's really fast. By the time, I've opened the menu and had it sync with my phone, I could've taken my wallet out.

    • on your way home, if you get far more steps than it used to, means you're getting lost.

What are the differences between CN and global versions? The price in title is for CN version.

  • How is it US$42.19 with GST? I'm seeing (China Version, Shipping from China) US$41.99 and $4.20 GST = US$46.19 total (approx. AUD$59)
