That and I hope they make 16gb Ram a common option, not expensive custom order

I still can't believe that 8gb in laptops is the base amount of RAM. That number hasn't changed for about 8 years now!

The way Apple have their OS and software optimised means 8gb is more than sufficient.

Could be worse.. Microsoft still sell 4gb and charge $200+ to upgrade it!

        •

well it used to be 4 5 years ago.

      There's
      - M1
      - M1X

There's no planned M2 (for 2021 at least)

So anyone purchases successfully or just price error?

I ended up price beating at Officeworks over the phone. Got it down to 1162. The employee was able to add it to cart at the time (and so was I) to determine any other delivery fees etc.

I price matched at JB and used 10% off gift cards. Got the MacBook Pro for $1398 with a sweet saving of $500 🙌

  •

Damn, got mine for 1439 from Officeworks 2 days ago!

    •

Officeworks has dropped to $1,400. If you have price guarantee/insurance you might be able to snag back that $40.

I really hope they release their new pro models before this financial year.

  •

back in stock at full price

    •

I think it went back to full price 8 hours ago.

      •

they removed all listings 8 hours ago I thought? been refreshing every hour since then hoping it went back up, it did about 30 minutes ago- must have been a pricing error

Apple M1 macbooks are plagued with problems.. constant compatibility issues, cannot connect to more than 1 external monitor. Sometimes would just freeze and crash… I am so disappointed in my MacBook it’s been a disaster… only plus side is battery but what good is it when there are so many issues
