Back again with more Romoss power banks and this time two with 18W fast charging and two with standard charging. The 26800mAh included in this deal is suitable for flying as it's under 100Wh and can be safely taken through security in carry on.

The SW30 Pro and SW20PS+ power banks feature multiple fast charging technologies including 18W USB-PD via USB-C, Quick Charge 3.0 via the blue USB port and 5V/2.1A via the white USB port. For recharging they have USB-PD via USB-C, QC 3.0 via Micro USB and 5V/2.1A via Lightning. Other fast charging technologies supported include Huawei FCP, Samsung AFC (excl. some S9/S10), QC2.0, Apple 2.4A and pass-through charging.

While the LT20PS and UBG power banks have standard 5V/2.1A charging and do not feature the 18W fast charging found in the others. The UBG power bank is also different to the others in that it has a built in flashlight and a silicone case allowing it to be mounted on bike handlebars and can hold a phone up to 5.5 inches.

  • How would security know if it's under 100Wh or not? I wouldn't imagine most layperson/non-techheads to be able to know.

It's all listed on the bottom of the power bank. Because of this it's allowed.

I went through security in Melb airport last week without issue too 😉

  • any wireless charging model support S21 and S20FE?

Bought one before. Returned. It won’t turn off the screen even if not in charging unless you physically unplug the cable from the power bank itself. (Unplugging the phone will not warrant a full power off)
It has a power button, which will turn on the unit but won’t turn off. Nothing mentioned on the manual. (Tried double press, triple press, long press, long-short press, short-long press). Leaving it on with a lightening cable plugged but not connected to a phone, you get a free orange night light the whole night.

Also the chip becomes hot very easily that will throttle the fast charge. When charging my iPhone 12 Pro, 9V2A 18W it won’t last a few minutes then it reverted to 9V(0.9~1.2)A ~9W when my phone battery was still below 50%. (iPhone 12 supports full 22W charging when the battery is below 50%, then gradually drops to 9W till 80%. It reverts to standard 5W charging when it reaches 80%)

  • Bought the 26800mAh last year. Happy with the charger, it charges pretty quick, retains battery capacity. That said, I only use it to 40%.

  • Still one of the only chargers I've had that actually does pass-thru charging.

Not idea what chipset is so special to allow this but it's one of the reasons I continue to use this charger even when I don't need 20k mAh.
