I am new to Ozbargain. I thought it is a forum to share which deal is available where, and not to only post the lowest price deals. Please correct me if I m wrong. Everyone can do their own research before purchase, as I am not posting for any personal gain, just to share what deals I come across.
Nope, the goal is to have the lowest price generally available (otherwise this site would be loaded with everyone's catalogue sales each week). The site guidelines are a useful starting point, particularly:
Before posting a bargain
Did someone else post the deal already? Search for your deal.
Is this really the best price on the web? Check for the lowest prices.
Is the cost of postage, fees or other costs included?
Is this deal available to Australia?
Is there enough quantity? Ensure there is adequate quantity.I found a cheaper price by throwing the model in Google (I also bought a Samsung soundbar last week so I've been keeping an eye on soundbar prices, this didn't seem that cheap). While there's no need to compare to absolutely everywhere, at least googling it or trying a price check site is a good idea before posting. And the item being cheaper elsewhere is a valid reason for a "neg" on these forums.

Normally we should try and find the cheapest stock before posting. There's no use posting a 'bargain' if it can be had cheaper somewhere else at point of posting.
