Wait so has anyone actually been successful? I got my code this morning but I'm not going to waste my time if they're just going to renege on some bogus "voucher don't work" clause.

    • Same here, got the code this morning.

Tried to call to book the test drive, but dealer wasnt available and i havent got any call back until now.

Probably not worth to pursue this based on few feedback above

      • I have the code and I went and did the test drive. Can't redeem it yet though, it's still sitting as, "Not marked as redeemed (confirming your dealer visit)".
I'm having doubts it will work

  • Its History as they are aware of this post and handing out a few $100 gift cards might make them go bust :)
The t&c's always are written so they have a clause for them to get out .
Written for them as I know they are looking .

  • based on this i got the code, but no point to pursue.

  • Ozbargain? Never heard of it…

Went to a dealership to ask for a test drive. Told them i was interested in the juke ti. Asked for a test drive. They said theyd get it ready. Salesmen asked why i wanted the car. Told him after something bigger as i recently sold my toyota 86.
He asked if thete was any other reason for the test drive. I told him the voucher also enticed me.

He walked off and came back and told me the two jukes they have are grounded and cant be test driven stating if they put anymore kms on them they'd need to sell it as a used car instead of a demo. the one they intially said they'd let me drive had just hit 4000kms and couldnt be driven anymore

They told me to come back in two weeks. Got same story from another dealer saying they had none available

Wasted 10 minutes as it was on the way home after work.

    • That just shows how Uselesly Nissan is managing its dealerships.

  • +4

Someone needs to reports these dealerships to Nissan head office!

  • Got the deal and test drove it yesterday after work since I am looking for an SUV. It's quick and accelerates nicely but it's quite a small car and the view through the rear view mirror seems bad, worse than in my Mazda 3! Told them I'm not a fan but I'd consider the Qashqai or X-Trail, however I think Subaru is on the top of my list at the moment.
They said the gift card will be processed and it might take a few weeks till I receive it.

  • +3

So let me get this straight, the company is happy giving the $100s to customers but the dealerships are too scrooge-like to honor the deal that the ACTUAL COMPANY has asked them to?

    • +3

And in so doing end up angering the customers they wanted to attract in the first place. Marketing genius.

      • Exactly. Seems that there is absolutely no communication between the company and the dealers.

    • This is the vibe I got. I received the code yesterday morning and got a call from the dealership in the afternoon to confirm my test drive. They made no mention of the gift card so I asked if it was valid. They acted like they didn't know what I was talking about, then when I repeated myself, they said something like "oh, yeah that, I'm not sure how it works, I think we input the code into the system or something and you get it in a few weeks".

The tone used was markedly different to their tone before the gift card was brought up, so the vibe I got was they are really reluctant to do this and you may have to make a bit of an effort to push them to do it for you.

  • DId anyone actually get this? The nearest dealer to me is a Suttons so not holding much hope.

    • +1

I managed to get a voucher online yesterday at Dandenong Nissan in Vic…immediately after that I got a call from a sales guy telling me all about this car, we booked a test drive for today… got a call from him again this morning asking if I was really interested in the car or just the gift card, apparently they got tons of bookings just for the gift card lol, I said "both" (not true - I'm not interested in buying any car atm) but he wasnt buying it and didnt sound as excited as yesterday… I'll see how it goes but surely hope to get that gift card :)

      • "got a call from him again this morning asking if I was really interested in the car or just the gift card"

That's like asking them "are you really interested in how my weekend went, or just my money?"

        • +1

lol so true… sure as sh1t they wont get my money though…if anything I'm hoping to get theirs lol

        • +2

Game on to con the Con Men who know what the con is lol .
Whoever gets its really deserves a medal :)

    • i received my gift card a good 15 days after i did the test drive so just be a little patient - my suttons dealership confessed they havent received much info about it from Nissan HQ.

    • yep took like 30mins all up.

Gift card was in my email 1 hour later.

  • $100 to talk with a car salesman? Nah!!
Add another 0 to that amount and I would be willing to waste half an hour.

    • $100 plus $0 is still $100.
Adding a 0 to the end is a whole different story,

Got the code yesterday morning, received a phone call within 30 minutes, booked in today, then by the time I got home, my egiftcard was sitting in my inbox. It took them about 20 mins to process it. Pretty happy, whole process including test drive didn’t take more than a hour, even with the sales pitches and multiple vehicle walkthroughs.

  • +1

Seems like this promotion is a huge bellyflop for Nissan.

  • +1

    Very easy process for me.

Printed off the coupon page, folded into pocket

Got a call from Nissan this morning, I didn't pick up or respond.

Rocked up at the dealership 2 hrs later.

2 salesman standing outside, Just said I'm interested to look at the Juke.

Had a little chat about things, then said I'd be interested to test drive the car. (At this point I didn't mention the coupon yet)

Funnily enough the salesman actually asked if I had the coupon code. lol

I have actually already received the gift card already so the turn around process has been very quick and efficient.

Currently trying to convert the $100 to amazon $100 egc. These sort of gift cards are kind of dodgy imo.

The car itself is honestly terrible. The people driving them must of won them in a chook raffle.

  • Anyone else got a gift card from Suttons? I haven't tried yet even though I got the code.

  • Can anyone help advise other similar cars we can get for the same price range

  • +2

Lol they don't want to do it. I called my local one Nissan Arncliffe, i got a call back and the guy gave me a date and time and i missed it coz I woke up feeling terrible today. Called them later in the day and then the receptionists said the sales would call back. Guy who called back said specifically next Tuesday and i said I couldn't do it and he wasn't willing to do any other dates before then so 😐🤨

    • +1

Went there today and they said they have to get 2 recent payslips and bank account details to get pre-approval before the test drive. Waste 10 mins of my time.

      • Tell them you're paying cash.

      • yea the guy said that to me over the phone. I think if ur a middle age guy u might have a more convincing character than me so, YEP.

  • Test drove Juke today…the dealer said it will take 3-5 weeks receive the gift card..in WA

    • +1

When they submit it you get it immediately via email. It only takes 3-5 weeks if that is how long before they submit it for you

      • Checked with Dealer and been told that it will be arrived by post..tricky guy :)

  • +1

I test drove the Duke yesterday, pretended I was in the market for a compact SUV and spent time talking to the sales guy before he gave me the keys to take it for a spin on my own. Drove pretty nicely and handled well I must say. Anyway, afterwards he put the hard sell on me, claiming there was a discount on the last demo model and there was a special finance rate which ends this week. I said I had to discuss it with the missus and then before leaving told the guy I got an SMS from Nissan claiming I'd get a gift card at the end of the test drive.

Bloke didnt seem too sus about it, told me to forward him the claim email which I did on the spot and made sure he received and got the gift card today. He noted that I had made a previous test drive enquiry at the same dealership (for another similar gift card deal) in the past, so I imagine I probably wont be able to get away with these promotions in future.

  • Did the test drive today and gave the printed out coupon to the guy on completion. Haven't received any confirmation yet and he seemed to have not had one of the coupons handed in yet but he had no reservations accepting it. It is baffling as to why they are running this promo though as it was one of the worst driving cars I've ever experienced. Are they trying to get people to spread the word on how shit this car is?

    • Same….. did the drive test last week, guy was nice about everything but the car was the worst I’ve driven:…
Still haven’t got e gift card or whatevs yet

      • I ended up calling the dealership and spoke with the guy who I gave the coupon too. He reassured me that he had submitted it and that it would take a few days to show up. Considering others in this thread already received theirs so quickly makes me a little sceptical but I can't really complain. It took 20 minutes out of my day and made me that much happier with my Seltos.

  • So is it true that you need to show your payslip and bank account details before getting approved for a test drive? I have a test drive booked tomorrow and I don't want to waste my time if I have to do this.

    • +1

Nah none of that. Bloke just took a copy of my drivers licence

    • +1

it just depends how much of an @$$ your local sales guy is. The one at Arncliffe is one

  • +1

When to Parramatta Nissan on thursday served by a guy Edgar Lagran who perform like a true typical sleazy car saleperson. asked me very first thing why do you want to test drive Juke specifically and keep stating whether I want to get the car or not. I just have to honest and claim about the promotion to this guy. then tried mock about only come back to test drive next week friday as we have no more spot for as too many people joined this offer. note: promotion expire 8/5/21

why nissan put on these promotion when you have your staff in some nissan branch with no interest to honour it's own promotion. I tell this guy I with come next week friday but know I wouldn't go anyway. count yourself lucky if manage a test drive with no branch issue.

    • +2

Maybe this is all a test by Nissan Corporate to weed out which of their branches need HR training. The odd $100 is cheaper than hiring secret shoppers.

  • +2

got a call on last monday from a sales rep.
    went in on the weekend

he asked me the are u interested or just in it for the $100 - said i dont need to test drive it if not interested/he can just process the gc - i said as its late just process it i'll come back to test drive…

he photocopied my license and wrote the code…

have a feeling after i left he just binned it.

    anyone have the same experience/feeling?

    • -1

If he has processed it, you would already have the gift card. It is an immediate email once they input it.

      • -1

havent got it yet then… can u advise what the subject is / whats in the email …and where the email is sent from??

        • -1

I’m so sorry but mine is long deleted. Honestly it was immediate as soon as the salesperson input it.

  • Just booked one for Saturday the 8th. Its the date of expiry. Hope I've squeezed in lol

    • they'd prob say sorry - HQ said all claims exhausted
or they will fake submitting it but not actually submitting it.

  • +2

i take it all back mines come in. :)

  • +2

I got mine after submit an enquiry through the voucher page last night. Got another call from salesman and blah blah blah before he finally processed it reluctantly.

    • Which website is this? I might need to do the same.

      • +1

Just follow 'checking status' link on your voucher code page, it will ask you to enter some details and salesman's name.

        • Thanks mate! Chalked this one up as an L but it looks like it'll go through now hopefully. Appreciate it.

          • @Theycott: i have to email their promotions company to verify my details… what a pain…

            • @spoonmugen: That's annoying. Mine finally came through this evening. One day from the cutoff.

  • Did the test drive around lunchtime and got the payment by the evening.

  • +1

Did any one get this:" We were unable to verify the information you provided. You should have received an email from [email protected] outlining next steps.

If it has been 2 business days since you submitted your information and you have not heard from us, contact Customer Support at +44 (800) 0487475."

I have received the redemption email from Nissan, but before getting the actually gift card the website needs to verify some information.

    • Same thing happened to me.
The person at the dealership who submitted the code used their name so it does not match what is on the voucher.
I have emailed the promotion contact asking what I can do.

    • Got the same message when I tried to go through the gift card website. Is your issue resolved by now?

      • No, I found out the dealership submitted a random address and used their phone number so did not match the voucher details.
I'm undecided about supplying a scanned copy of a license or bill to a link sent in an email to verify.

        • The same here. So unsafe to supply license to oversea. Such a waste of time.

    • i did - i emailed and ended up sorting it in about 3 days…
      was annoying thou
had to send a photo of my drivers license

  • Does anyone have the link to check the status of the giftcard?

The deal is not being honest with me.

      • Thanks for that!

I did the test drive, got asked for a copy of my license, coming to 3 weeks now, and still not redeemed.

      • Thanks

      • Sent enquiry via that link Thursday morning.

Finally received email for giftcard Friday evening.

Resolved after 3 weeks, when it could have been done within a day.

Not sure how this process was supposed to inspire confidence in me as a possible potential customer.

  • Finally received it.

  • Mine was approved yesterday.
If anyone is still having issues with the identity verification the Australian contact number for the prepaid digital credit cards is 0280466576

  • received my e-mastercard and used at bunnings. seems like many did get theirs which is pleasing
