I don't know what's going on, you can either ship something or you can't, I don't understand shipping to selected areas, and then capital city Metro not covered?

  • Should I wait for the 'sale' where the prices go back to where they were 3rd May or is that just not going to happen…

    • depend what game you are looking at, for some games half of current price is still better than their sale preowned price.

      • Most of the cheap games used to be around $9 and now they are $19+ "buy one get one free"

Question I'm wondering is if they'll actually go back to $9 or not..

        • Oh, you are right, that's mainly for ps and xb. some of the switch games are decent. Hard to find.

Why so many preowned games come in dummy/EB generic case? Went to pick up a couple games and had to return instantly because all of them not in original case.

    • People discard the original cases, or lose them. But the game itself still has value, and well EB does put a disclaimer for preowned games that there's no guarantee you'll get the original box art or get a manual included.

    • So many reasons, could be cat or dog, could be broken by accident, could be lost, etc. Like I did, if you can find a copy with the OG case at any eb games, within 7 days or maybe not. They would be happy to exchange the case for you. More leg work ,or just call them to confirm.

      • Yeah I know EB did put disclaimer, but it still quite pissed when you get one. I prefer original cover because I don't sell my games. I can't exchange either as the closest store that have stock are about 2 hours drive.

        • Sorry to hear that, yes, in that case, there is nothing you can do. I did drive 1.5 hrs to get 2 copies, and exchange one of them at my local eb with OG cover.

          • @ce5himm: Thanks. I think you drove 45 mins each way? Mine will be 4 hours total.. so definitely not worth it. I'll just wait for sales for them as they are fairly new which I was surprised that they still come in generic cover.

@akte: If they are not hard to find, not worth it. Especially they are new, you may see more pre-owned show up. Definitely wait for next round

  • Just a tip for you guys.

If two games you want are at different stores near by each other.

You can buy one from the other store then tell that store to call the other store to hold the other game and that you want to get that for the buy one get one free deal.

They will call the other store to put on hold then you go to the other store and refund the first game and then buy it again and get the 2nd one free.
