Seems to have fixed it for a number of users, although Gigabyte users are still disproportionately affected.
In any case it seems like it affects a small minority of configurations and most users have no such issues (as a TUF x570 + 5600x user with no issues).

What's surprised me is the prevalence of these issues, and how long it went without official acknowledgement. The reports are all over the place going back to like mid-2020 and tended to attract an unusually high number of "me toos", rather than being the usual scattering of despairing invididuals with their own specific issues.
I'm sure the majority have no problems, but it does seem to come with more tickets in the instability lottery than typical.
I have a 5900X and B550 Aorus Pro AC and also get the USB issues. But it seems to only affect USB 2.0 slots so I'm just using my USB 3.0 slots and they have been flawless. Basically if you connect anything to the USB 2.0 slots they keep dropping out every 3-5 seconds. I'm on an older beta BIOS (f11i) which seemed to fix another issue with WHEA errors. Just waiting for Gigabyte to release the next non-beta BIOS and hopefully that fixes everything. Apart from those two mentioned issues though, this board and CPU have been flawless.
What sort of GPU do you have? I only have a lowly 1080 and 5900X on Aorus Master X570, yesterday my mouse and keyboard locked up, only time I can recall it happening and it fixed it self but this was shortly after bootup so might have been windows updates?
I'm running mouse and keyboard through my monitor as a hub though and using the USB 3.0 ports. Also on f33i bios I think, updated just a few days ago.

As a another user said, and if the link you provided is accurate, if you have a b450 paired with this cpu you won't experience the usb issue.
You might as well remove the comment about not touching it as it is not due to a fault with the 5000 series CPUs and misleading.
You can get 11400 and a b560 motherboard for around the same price as this CPU for the same perceivable performance while not having any major known issue

Yeah, so say it's expensive rather than conflating a fixable bug to do with the b550 chipset.
No it's expensive and has issue that requires a work around, a limitation on choice so in essence you're paying more to have a headache

The CPU itself does not have the issue. It is one type, amongst of several viable motherboards.

The issue is how it handles pcie 4.0, most b450 don't have this support so that's why there isn't an issue
i hate to replace motherboard as well coz atm i am ryzen2600, on a b350, unless 5600 works on b350, i am kinda screwed, 3600 isnt that much of an upgrade(but not much more expensive either). so i really dont know, i am looking at 11400F, but again i have to buy new mobo as well…….damn it amd.

AMD will have a new socket soonish too. So add that to the pile of drama, haha. It's always best to wait unless you have a pressing need for more power.
I still think the 3600 is overpriced for the gains you get over the 2600. I got my 2600 for $199.

95% of the performance for a third of the price. (90% to 99% depending on the game/use)
With that, and the intels so cheap right now, not many scenarios where buying this instead makes much sense.
I guess the only sensible scenario is people who have a noticeably-slower AMD already, like Ryzen 3 1600 or something, BUT somehow also have loads of money to spend on the fastest upgrade they can get, AND they really need high 1080p framerates for their RTX 3090…?

I haven't had any usb issues with 5600x, x570 unify and 6800xt.
The fix is simple for anyone with usb issues, just disable c states in bios.

I haven't heard anything about a problematic earlier x570 unify, maybe your mistaking another board. Also I had a 5950x as well but kept the 5600x and sold the 16 core as there was no difference for games, and I liked that the 5600x would OC to 4.8ghz all core with an air cooler instead of the water loop needed for the other. I went with the fancy mobo because I like the OC features (post display and reset/cmos buttons), I mess with ram OC a lot, and I wanted the other stuff like sabre dac.
Cheapest price I've seen on the CPU, but this CPU is overpriced to begin with.

i dont know tbh. the matx version didnt appear to be suffering from this, just the v1 b550 based on what i skimmed from reddit.
i got my mobos in early 2021 and i think bios updates were already out addressing it somewhat, so i have had to experience the issue myself
I have two of these CPU's with a 3080 using a MSI X570 Tomahawk and also with a 3060 on a ASRock Phantom B550 ITX board.
No issues what so ever. XMP RAM profiles, AMD PBO and USB all work perfectly for me. I got decent gains in gaming upgrading from a 3700x.

Why would someone be gaming at 1080p with a 3080? Consoles these days do more than 1080p for less than the price of a 3080. It's often GPU bottleneck at that.
As far as a worthy upgrade, I'd suggest a 3700x to a 5600x is more just an excuse to spend money as opposed to being actually good value. Nothing wrong with that, but not a budget consensus buyers ideal move.
@scuderiarmani: I guess it's subjective what "significant" is, but I experienced about 10 to 15% gains moving from a 3700x on 1440p. At around 100fps average in the games I play (mostly triple AAA titles), it's pretty significant to me, basically the difference between a GPU tier

Yeah at the time it was 1080p and I benchmarked with Heaven(I know it's an old tool but I didn't realise Superposition existed at the time)
3700x was 374 fps
5600x was 397 fps
I've since upgraded to 1440p monitors but can't be farked putting the 3700x back in to compare again.
For anyone interested in motherboards the MSI x570 Tomahawk also consistently benchmarked 5fps slower then my Asus Tug Gaming x570-plus but I kept it in my case anyway for the front USB-C header.
You're also correct in saying it was an excuse to spend money because why the hell not when you can't leave the house. (I also got suckered in by Linus)
Also for a CPU that is the same TDP I've found it harder to cool then the 3700x.

I also just built a mITX b550i system thats what the second 5600x is in. Imported 2 different itx cases from Taobao and also went all in with RGB but cheaped out with a Silverstone PF 240 AIO and 2 of their 120mm fans instead of Corsair.
My thoughts on the process…Tao bao is a nightmare to use if you can't speak Chinese. RGB just isn't worth the cable management nightmares if you have OCD. Intel CPU probably would have been easier to cool in an ITX system.
Also trying to find decent itx cases that can fit a huge 3 slot 3080 is a pain in the ass hence going the Taobao route.
But I do IT for a living so call it all research and put it down as a business expense lol.
Regarding the expected delivery date, have a look at the comments from when this was posted last time. They ship MUCH sooner than the listed timeframe.
I ordered on 26th of March.
Eta was June 16 - July 8.
It shipped on the 1st of April and arrived on the 14th.
So overall it arrived 2.5 weeks after ordering

I remember I had one on order when you couldn't get stock and Amazon had a wonder price of $455ish.

5600x on a crosshair x570 hero viii.
I have the gif aio from nzxt and that issue before the agesa was so bad that it legit caused bsod's because when it disconnected the pc thought it didn't have a cooler or something. Ryzen master still cannot read voltage as well as current cpu speed despite updating everything to latest versions. It's something weird but I can't go down to pcie 3.0 without affecting my 980 pro or my 3070.
Don't like it tbh, I would have very much preferred a 10th gen intel seeing how cheap they are.
I'm excited to see what happens to end-user-value over the next few years. (i) hypothetically prices should improve once we "get past" the current silicon shortage issues, (ii) There is potentially a lot of upcoming investment into new fabs by a few big players, (iii) increasing pressure on Intel & AMD should come from Apple and other big companies making increasingly capable ARM processors…
Hardware value tends to go up, minus the 'unusuals' that crop up (RAM price-fixing, mining, COVID propaganda, etc.). The trend is always higher value as time goes on, over-all. Software matches the newly-released hardware with more and more bloat and/or capability. Plus more surveillance (both hardware: Intel Management Engine & AMD PSP as well as increasing OS / software bloat / spyware.

Thought all the bugs were fixed in the latest AGESA update? Bare in mind the firmware update on its own isnt enough, chipset drivers also needed. As I understand it its both Ryzen 3000 and 5000 (Zen2/3) as they use the same onboard I/O chip)
