KOGAN vs AMAZON- a customer-service comparison

In case any1 hasn't done business w/ each or either
of the Subj co.'s, here are our recent experiences:

Full Disclosure: We're Members of Prime, Not "Kogan 1st"

PRE-ORDERING:
+ Amazon: We take your $$ when we're about to ship
- Kogan: [We hold your money thru months of waiting]

CALLING BY PHONE:
+ Amazon: Answered by a Human in under 2 minutes :~)
- Kogan: [We don't offer Customer-Service by phone]

CANCELLING AN ORDER:
+ Amazon: No problem; answer Q's right-way f Free Returns
- Kogan: [Easy to do logged-in; refund in 3-7 bus.days..?]

COST-FREE SHIPPING:
+ Amazon: Buy Prime yearly, to save most Shipping costs
+ Kogan: We found it hard to buy "First Kogan" [Our bad?]

PRODUCT INFO:
+ Amazon: [Some lousy prod. info; verify ALL B4 buy'g]
0 Kogan: (Unknown: Too few recent transactions)

WHAT ARRIVED
+ Amazon: Nice (most: reusable) boxes; consistent labels
- Kogan: Drill (in o/sized case) was in opened sachel [a return?]

General Item Quality:
+ Amazon: Usually upwards of Fine
- Kogan: Drill was our LAST Kogan purch, (Pay to Return?)

Prices:
+ Amazon: Sale items can be OK; OzB shows some good 1s
. Check ALL prices, as some have been >200% "too high"
- Kogan: Drill's "dim" charger had US plug (but No adapter)
. Drill turned out to be an unlabeled clone of a good qual. 1

YMMV. Any1 got any Recent experiences to share, thanks?

I’m not even going to bother reading your wall of text, but there’s no comparison between Amazon and Kogan for customer service. Amazon will always win. Hands down. End of thread

    • I read it :(

      • Me
        too. Damn

            @FireRunner: You’ve experienced mental conditioning.

  • You never confirmed if the Kogan drill was even from Kogan, or a 3rd-party store.

  • Kogan has more other services, e.g. mobile, credit card, energy, etc.

    • Prime Video/Music/e-books?

      • Lotsa FREE eBooks, no less… even sans Prime

I started reading it, gave up when my eyes started bleeding.

  • OMG, not the drill saga again…

    • Really getting drilled home isn't it?

    yep.
I recently read a couple of posts in the forum

    Readability
    - IVI: completely unreadable
    + Other : coherent

    Structure
    - IVI : purposely posts in
    some stupid fixed width
    format for
    no obviously
    explainable
    reason
(despite sometimes posting normally showing that they clearly are able to not hit the enter key every 20 characters
+ Other: normal width posts. Infinitely less annoying

    Content
    - IVI : posts contain random thoughts and lack any clear structure
    +Other: posts generally understandable and

    Follow up
-IVI : rarely follows up on questions or comments
+Other: poster asked questions, got answers or other questions and followed up, making for a forum with useful interactions

YMMV but, yep, couple of recent experiences for you

Amazon recently( since the pandemic ) have not been the cheapest hence a lot of my biz goes to the others including some crazy prices in Kogan First .

Yes another one of Op's usual bad formatted posts that are impossible to read.

Op does not listen to people asking for him to change, so he does not deserve any real feedback.
