[VIC, NSW, SA, ACT] $40 off First Meal Box via Referral @ Pepperleaf

82

I was looking to try a new meal prep delivery service and noticed Pepper Leaf has doubled their referral credit for a limited time. So you now get $40 off your first box, with your referrer getting $40 credit too. Please click the random referral link generator below to get this deal.

I've only placed my first order recently so can't yet vouch for the quality of the food and ease of the recipes, however I did appreciate that I could select a vegetarian box which had several meal options. It was also easy to skip future deliveries and there are options for one person.

Note that this is a service like HelloFresh, in that you have to prepare the meals yourself with the ingredients and recipes delivered to you.

  • Can't even work out how to make an account!

    Fail website.

    • Click the random referral link generator. I didn't think I'd be allowed to post my own direct referral link. (OZB says you get $20 but you'll see on PL you get $40)

What kind of meal is in the box?

    • It's like Hellofresh in that they provide the ingredients and recipes and you prepare it yourself. I only checked the vegetarian box and ordered red curry and laksa, both with tofu. There were more veg options and they looked better than Hellofresh's, IMO.

        So it's not like Menulog.

        • No. There wasn't a better category to put it in.

Electrifying, you can certainly light up your palate with this.

  • It doesn't deliver to QLD. SAD FACE

      Live it up…

    • Sorry, my 2nd deal! I've updated it.

  • Cheapest box seems to be $61.90.

    • Did you use a referral link? Not the main website. My first box is 21.90 (61.90-40)

Yeah cheapest box without the $40 credit.

    • It's not the cheapest but to me it looks better than HelloFresh.

Edit: It must be better as it got a 5 star review from Good Food.

I’ve used hellofresh for the last 3 months , but going to give this a go. Have signed up and will post back on thoughts. Price is the same as HF it seems for the 3 meals 2 ppl option

    • For the cheaper options (1 person, 4 or 5 meals / 2 ppl, 2 or 3 meals) $40 off is better than 50% off.

      • yeah I know. I was just linking to the last time this company was advertised and the issues with delivery.

    • OK, reading the comments in that link, last time was a bit of a debacle

      • Yeah… those comments, thawed ice pack and mushy fruit… gonna give this one a miss, doesn't sound worth the hassle

    Thanks OP.

This month, we have tried Hello Fresh, Marley Spoon and Dinnerly, and I would rate them in that order.

Going to try this one too.

Must say my experience with them was poor. First, and only, box was delivered with one of the sauce sachets completely torn open. This caused masala sauce to spread everywhere and the box was ruined and nothing could be used.

I contacted the customer helpline and they said have a $20 voucher for your next box. Poor response so I contacted Simon Kahil who is the main man for the operation. Sent him the photos I sent to customer service and he said the box was a disaster and $20 wouldn't cut it for him so it shouldn't for me. He offered me a full refund and said he would sort it.

Trouble is he never did. I cancelled my sub 5 days later and that was it for me. I understand issues happen but when the CEO and Founder doesn't follow through on what he states then it's goodnight from me.

I'm sure many others have good experiences but in terms of overall service that I got then I can't rate them.

  • Good lord , you'd need to be a very speculative investor to put money into the Australian meal plan market given the number of multinational competitors with very deep pockets .

  • Has anyone had a positive experience with Pepperleaf?

  • there’s another meal plan service that was advertised on here called Everyplate? That one actually had good quality produce and the meals that me and my partner enjoyed.

    • I remember that one from 2 years ago, was really good back then, no idea now.
