    No. Never have been. Certainly not this shoe - glued polyurethane soles as you would expect at this price point (even before the discount).

    Pretty sure Hush Puppies don't use any Goodyear welted soles. I'd suggest looking at Charles Tyrwhitt as their more expensive shoes have Goodyear welted soles but you can pick them up on sale occasionally for a good price.

    If you have lead time then ordering shoes from Meermin Mallorca is going to be your best option for quality goodyear welted shoes at a decent price.

    They're like small balls of rubber built in to the sole. Definitely has some effect under the foot

  I love Hush Puppies for work, got these in black probably 6 months ago and they're almost ready for the bin. Scuffed up really bad/quickly for some reason.
  My last pair were the Cain style and lasted around 2 years in comparison….regardless still comfy as and good buying when they're this cheap

    Yeah, I've had a similar experience. Hush Puppies are extremely comfortable (Windsor Smith and Julius Marlow used to kill my feet as I'd have a bit of a walk from the train station to work) but depending on the model, I'd only get 1-2 years out them before they started to wear and look a bit shabby. Soles were fine but the leather would keep stretching until the shoes became way too loose or just looked very scuffed up etc.

  My last pair was made from split leather and started to peel quite quickly. Whilst I did get a refund their customer service was a bit of a pain to deal with. Haven’t bought since.

  My last pair only lasted about 9m or so. Not too keen on these and have moved to good year welted shoes. They are more expensive but do seem to last well over 2 years. Still need to pay to resole those shoes tho and that's not always cheap.
