What's special about Byron Bay Cookies?

    • +2

Low price if half price, great taste, supporting Australian business

      • +1

Yeah we should support local business, I would imagine they have a good profit margin for these cookies.

        • they're on shelves, and it's a nice kind of soft/crumby

dunno where else to get it like that

    • +1

Found some BB Macadmia Shortbread Bites in our pantry (must have been part of a hamper) - they were really good. Might put a couple of these on the shopping list

    • +2

Because they use the word “Byron Bay” in their title.. nothing special other than that .

      • -2

these are the best shortbread cookies you will taste.

    • +5

I often buy about 100 when half price. While I eat a few packets, I give them away as little gifts here and there to family and friends. For example I’ll leave a packet out when my cleaner comes. Only costs $1.25 but puts a smile on people’s faces.

      • my old boss was like that they are ok client of our love them $1.25 made him rich

  • +17

At this price, okay value but otherwise Byron bay cookies are in my opinion really overrated

    • +2

Yep agreed. Would never buy normally.

      • Would never buy normally.

        no shit, half price gangang

    • What biscuits are rated?

      • +2

Original Tim Tams. Forget every other crap flavour they've come up with through the years (similar to Cadbury with their blocks….), originals are always the best.

        • i prefer the darkies

have ordered the new mango-passion one to try

      • +1

The Loacker range, especially Gran Pasticceria Creme Noisette Chocolate Wafer Biscuit, Gardena Wafer and Gran Pasticceria Biscuit Dark Choc Orange.

    • +1

I haven't tried them yet, but they score high in my books, because they use butter as an ingredient.

      • butter

        what do others usually use?

        • Vegetable seed oils that are bad for health

  • +5

Tyrrells were amazing when they were imported from the UK but have never been the same since they were made in Australia.

    • I miss sweet chilli and red pepper T_T

      • I miss Texan BBQ and Apple Cider Vinegar flavours.

    • Those were using the lady rosetta variants which are the best but not anymore with the current made in Australia ones

    • Yup. Now they taste just the same as the smiths ones… cheap n nasty

  • Is Tyrell similiar to Proper Crisps?

    • idk but the Cheddar chives one tastes like JJ's

  • +2

The headline special in Woolworths is always junk food. Is this really what most people want to eat and gets them into the store?

    • No, but half price gets me into the store!

  • Byron Bay Cookies > Yummo 🙏

  • +1

I didn't know that Tyrrells were now made locally!

  • +1

The byron bay cookies are certified bussin

  • +1

They also have Gatorade 600 ml half price. Was in Macquarie shop around lunchtime and this woman was loading her trolley up with open boxes straight off the shelf. I saw her at the self service check out and her trolley was completely full of just Gatorade. I guess she must have had about 15 boxes of 12 bottles, all flavours. Yes she was Chinese, and I imagine she has her own convenience store where she will sell these. Bloody disgusting behaviour. There needs to be limits put on specials. This is the first day and the shelves were cleared by a single person not for personal use but for commercial gain.

Not available in VIC? Also, I'm still sore they got rid of the salt and vinegar 😭
