I've been looking for somethig better than an old confeerence backpack for daywalks etc with the fam. This is perfect for what i need, Thanks op, great find. nothing local for me but only $8 for postage so still a bargain when you add the voucher.

50L is a bit of a large backpack for a daywalk. May I ask what are you bringing?

      • Way too big from my experience. 30l is manageable and top entry is so inconvenient unless you don't need to access your gear. Of course ymmv…

All the kids stuff and stuff for the missus as well….. lots of food, changes of clothes/jumpers/jackets, possibly bathers/towel if we are headed to a waterhole or isolated beach. might even see if I could fit our beach shelter. I have a 40L laptop bag and fugured a bit of extra space over that is probably a bit on the larger size but it means I can jus shove and go. I woudlnt use it for multi day walking, I would definately be looking at a better harness/build for that.

there is also a goiod chance I might end up carrying the kids home in it too!

Agree about the size. It's quite a light pack so you're not going to save much weight going smaller. Throw in towels, food, change of clothes, and a family will fill this pretty fast.

  • "Your voucher is activated" - but there is nothing in my account yet…

    • Had the same, logged out and then back in a few minutes later and it showed up.

      • It showed up after 10 minutes, thanks mate!

    Thanks OP!

  • Bought. Didn't get a $10 voucher, only a $20 off $100 spend.

    Is it any good though?

Too big for a carry on flights

    • +1

Can't we fold the top a bit?

      • I reckon you'd easily get away with it. The largest backpack I carry when flying would never fit into the carry-on sizer, but easily fits in the overhead storage of a 737 or larger aircraft.

Just looked at it. I decided to pass on it at $25.
It feels cheap and there is not much padding on the back or straps.
If you were going to be carrying stuff any distance on your back I'd hold out for something better.
But if you wanted something to carry stuff from the airport luggage carousel to the waiting taxi it would do the job.
There is one left at the millner store Darwin.

    • Thanks for the pre.. review

Woohooo! Joined their website 15 minutes ago, contacted their online chat and said that my friend got $10 off voucher with no minimum spend limit and their rep straight way added $10 club credits. Chose click and collect to buy for $15.

Buy a case of great northern zero for BCF voucher. Up to $50

  • WA stock in Butler and Busselton, other metro stores out of stock

  • Might not be the best pack around but good timing. I need a basic pack a bit bigger than a daypack for a simple overnight camping trek or longer day trek with enough food etc and this should do the job. Grabbed a couple of the clearance superlight air mattresses and hand air pumps as well

    guess im a hiker now

Thanks OP. Just getting into overnight hiking, I'm sure there's better packs around, but I'm happy to find a cheap first pack to get started.
