@I Smell Pennies: Update: Only three more packets came, so they gave a full refund (came instantly) acknowledging an ASIN/listing error (as we expected). 6 free bags :)

My order arrived with 3 packets of chips and when i checked the listing they have removed the x8 from the title.

      Why u getting negged?

  • So just confirming as others have, mine arrived as 3x bags. The customer service rep noted that the listing had been updated to remove the x8 from the title and the product dimensions had been updated to say 500gm (I took a PDF of the page on the day and it had product dimensions of 4kg, i.e. 8x500gm)

They've processed a refund for me.

    • tey only refunded my $14.5 instead if $16.5

  • Another as above 3x bags. Starting the process with Amazon

Edit: Now known as a common issue, lots of reports. Refunded and get to keep the 3 bags.

    • they only refunded me the 21 bags and still charged me 3 bags

There were some other people saying they were offered that. Depends what they charged you for the 3 bags and if you're happy. I'd argue that they should be $0.69 each, as 24 for $16.50. I'd pay the $2.06 for the 3 bags. If you're still not happy get back onto them and say that the suggested resolution isnt acceptable, and to send out the other 21 bags, or just straight say you want all the amount refunded because you bought under the agreement that you'd be getting 12kg of chips at that rate.

I had already made plans to use ~2kg this weekend catering nachos and dips as they were getting delivered, so the refund is still not the best outcome for me, although I agree its a fair outcome.

They may ask you to return the chips, which is the other fair outcome. Under Australian consumer law they are responsible for the return freight cost if they push to have the 3 bags returned, so theoretically also up for your costs to print +any travel (as long as reasonable). As soon as you say you also need them to cover the $2 in fuel and $0.40 to get it the labels printed at office works I'm sure it not worth the time and costs to them to manage it and would just give you the chips like they have to so many others.

    • Same. They processed the full refund for $16.50 which may take 2 to 10 business days. No reference number or any indication on the order though, so will just need to check it again in 10 business days.

I knew it sounded a bit too good to be true! And now I feel bad for the two boxes they used to ship just 3 bags…

  • they asked if I wanted a refund or a replacement, so I asked will they send the remaining 21 packets, the guy told me 24 packets will be sent… I actually do not know what to do with so many packets, I opted a refund and got to keep the 3 packets
