  • Nice find!

  • Kmart's OnePass Weekend looks very similar to their previous Black Friday Sales.

    • This is the same deal that happend during Black Friday: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/813802

      • +1

Ye a few of the other products are similar to previous Black Friday Sale (ie. De'Longhi appliances, Nutribullet, Sistema Containers, etc).

  • +1

    Logix FTW

    • Recently discovered these… seem to do a great job especially for ~13 cents a wash

      • +7

not after the change of formula/factory earlier this year

        • +3

agreed. The old Logix Platinum tablets were great.

New Logix Platinum capsules are also great, but the price has increased to 26c per capsule.

there is this new box of 'All in one' Logix tablets, but I've tried these - they're shit. Worse than the old Logix Platinum tablets.

          • @placard: 26c per tablet still cheaper than Fairy and Finish tablets when they go half price at Woolies and Coles though. Otherwise what choices we have?

        • +2

And the price jack. Not sure why they had to mess with a great formula, instead opting to make their tablets look like Finish and others filled with pointless juju juice.

        • -1

Well in this case what can you use as replacement?

        • -1

What's changed? Just the price I thought and package all blue not purple

          • +1

@neonlight: Exactly what ingredients I don't know, not an expert.

But it's worse indeed, can't clean oil or smell as well as before. The filter would become greasy after one or 2 wash(not greasy if wash with shine powder or finish capsules), and can't remove strong smells (e.g. Bowl that contained mashed raw garlic, after washing everything smells like garlic.)

using the woolies shine powder right now, it's been working well, I just wanted to know if there's anything even better.

      • +1

        $6.25 for 45 pack= $ 0.139777777

        This one
        $15 for 110 pack = $ 0.13636363

        • +2

Not worth it if you're not already a OnePass subscriber

    • old Logix yes, new ones no.

  • +7

    I prefer Fairy… it’s a more magical experience.

    • magical

      Care to elaborate??

      • +8

        it is magical alright.

        magical makes your wallet empty

      • +2

        Magicians never reveal their secrets!!

    • Sounds far better than the Crappy brand… want to know what sort of experience that is?

      • +2

        Marketing experience.

  • +2

PS: Will also be available at Target - same products as Kmart

    • +1

All from the same fulfilment centre, too, probably.

    • +2

      Target = Kmart basically now

      • +2

Yep. All my local Target was converted to Kmarts.

    • +2

I order Kmart stuff with Target now when possible, to get cashback or use gift cards/redeem flybuy dollars.

    • -1

There are some OK deals during that weekend. Not really interested in Dishwasher Tablets though.

  • would it work better than the shine dish washing powder @ $3.9 per bottle in Woolies?

    • +1

I got better result from Logix dish washing powder from Aldi, they are similar prices

      • +7

not with the last bottle I bought from aldi. I think they changed formula sometimes around March this year.

        • I also had this same experience.

    • +1

Been using Shine recently, a tablespoon for pre-wash and half in the dispenser. Been alright so far.

    • I think powder still works out to be cheaper. Last time woolies substituted with a brand called ecostore dishwashing powder and it’s pretty good

  • Are these as good as Finish in Woolies? Or some weird parallel import substandard version?

    • +6

They are a simple powder based dishwasher tablet, without the 'Powerball', which was the same powder in a ball shape! They also don't leave your dishes with a weird smell like Fairy and other brands do,

I have a Bosch dishwasher, and these work perfectly for us, and have done so for the 15 years or so I've had our dishwasher. Just don't use them for a short cycle, e.g. 30min or less as they won't dissolve properly on that time

  • +2

Also available at Target, where you can use Cashrewards!
    https://www.target.com.au/p/11-pack-finish-dishwashing-table…

    • is it onepass member only?

      • Looks that way but should be able to get a month's free trial if you dont have it.

    • Champion! Ordered 2 boxes, have absolutely no idea how much cashback I am going to get though.
      Ta!

  • +7

Having bought these in bulk and used for a good part of the year, found the Costco (Kirkland brand) ones turn out to be better at $0.21 a wash and leave no residue or chemical-ly smell. I tend to venture out of my True OzBargain-er character energy sometimes.

  • didn't see any stock in last half year at this price across Kmart / Target / Chemist warehouse

  • +2

I've been buying the 110 pack (without the 'powerball') for years and they have always worked great. These ones are advertised as a 'smaller tab, same performance'. I wonder if they are indeed as good as the old ones.

    • Washing powder and dishwasher powder has always historically been more filler than anything functional, e.g. enzymes and detergent.

I would expect them to work just as well, but we will see

  • +2

how is these compared to Woolworths Shine Dishwashing Tablets?

    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/184248/shi…

    • curious to know as well

  • +2

Have you ever either forgotten to put a tablet in the machine - or the powder lid didn't open (because of a sticky dissolvable wrapper in my case) - and the dishes were effectively perfectly clean. It's happened to me a few times and to be honest I've found the all the machine needs is a cheapie tablet (coles/woolies/aldi) and everything is sparkling…… I've been using the 110 boxes too when they're cheap and will buy a bunch again. Thanks Op.

    • Please share your machine?

      • +1

10YO Bosch series 6. It did blow a main board in the first year but has been rock solid since.

  • +6

    I'll just leave this here:
    https://youtu.be/jHP942Livy0?si=hHUDhFINmjLPXD8b

Dishwasher tablets are worse than just regular old powder. You're probably using it wrong.

    • +2

Build this man a statue. Based on his earlier video, where he cuts a machine to bits to show how it works, I've been using two of whatever are the cheapest tablets - usually Aldi - one in the pan, one in the dispenser. Fantastic results.

And I've converted many friends to do the same

Funny thing - He never explains why the US uses hot water fill and does not rely on the heating element. It's because they only have 110 volty things, which makes trying to heat anything with electrickery really stupid. But not as stupid as only having 110 volty things

      • I don't understand 110 volts is half of our voltage, so does that mean it's half as fast? Can't they just run at a higher amperage?

Also what's with the salt thing at the bottom of our dishwasher? How often do we have to fill it up and is Sydney water hard water? I don't believe it is

        • Can't they just run at a higher amperage?

They can, but the usual residential outlets provide either 15 or 20A in the US, so the devices are made for the lowest common amps (15A, or 1650W) while in AU it's always 240V@10A, i.e. 2400W.

          • @bio: So we are not even Double the Speed of heating. How is it we can take in cold water and they cannot? My normal cycle seems to take an hour and a half to complete so if they take double the time to hit the water it might take two hours? It doesn't seem like a big issue

    • Thanks for sharing this video.
I'm now going to use powder instead of tablets (and share these tips with others).

    • My latest dishwasher had sensor errors when I used a cheap powder. The repair man (under warranty) came out and said the cheap powders add fillers that clog up the sensor and prevent it from working properly. Had to remove the sensor and clean it. It also left a white substance all over the dishwasher. I think I bought shine powder from memory.

  • What exactly does "With pre-soaking action" mean?

    • marketing bs

    • I believe sitting still is an action. So probably that

  • +2

Got it thanks OP. Make sure you're logged in with OnePass on Kmart or it'll probably show as out of stock.

  • If they don’t work well for you, instead of putting them in the tablet holder, just throw one on the bottom of the dishwasher. They work much better that way.

    • I'll try that with my basic aldi one the next time I run it. The platinum ones were the best and a great price, but they got rid of those and jacked the price with the liquid filled ones….so I stopped buying them. Will also try the Shine powder and see how that goes.

    • +2

HappyPants should not have deleted their comment, they were correct, the cleaning solution should NOT be in the dishwasher from the start. It should not be in there for the pre-rinse stage which then has the water emptied, you are diluting the cleaning solution. It should only be introduced later when it starts the actual cleaning stage.

If you run a shorter cycle that doesn't include the pre-rinse, then sure that may work, but that is not how a dishwasher is designed to work at its best.

    • +1

That's one way to make sure that they work much worse. The tablet will disappear during the pre-wash cycle and then it will wash your dishes with plain hot water for hours.

The ideal method is to put the tablet in the tablet holder, and put a bit of powder on the bottom. If you don't have powder just break the tablet into two pieces.

      • The tablet was still whole after the cycle so adding it in the prewash hasn’t stopped it from working.

        • The tablet was still whole after the cycle

I've never seen that. Prewash completely destroys tablets in my machine.

Either your tablet is bad, you are using a short program, or your dishwasher is broken and doesn't heat the water properly.

          • @bio: I’d go with not heating the water properly.
I use the pots setting. The dishes are always clean and smell like the tablet after washing when I put it on the bottom.

            • @Oz em:

smell like the tablet after washing

Not good. You may try liquid detergents until you fix the issue.

  • Got one too - thanks OP……

  • Thanks OP, got one

  • When is the expiry date on these ?

    • Think they just have a manufacturing date. Mine was Nov 2023.

  • -2

I have to vote against these, as I think they do a poor job in cleaning.
I switched to these after the Aldi ones stopped being available. After a while I noticed the inside of my dishwasher had become dirty.
I wash my dish scrubbing brushes in here too, and sometimes they have some fat content, or get quite dark after washing seasoned wrought iron pans. With the Aldi tablets, they always came out nice and white. With these, they were still darkened colour.

I now use two of these tablets per load to get a similar result I used to get with one Aldi tablet. A bit counter productive cost wise if you have to use twice the product per load.

    • Too bad Aldi isn't nationwide and won't ship online. Unlike Kmart.

      • Aldi don't do that tablet anymore, you will find more comments on this above, as it was an OzB favourite.
Regardless of availability, it's a poor performing tablet. I haven't looked into it, I will do as I get nearer the end of the box, but surely there is a better option that is also more cost effective than two of these tablets per wash.

Based on this deal, and what I think is the need to use two tablets per wash, it is 27 cents per wash.

        • What would you recommend instead? Powder?

          • @Clear: I do not recommend anything, I do not have that knowledge. There are two videos posted here by a dishwasher aficionado (one below and one above our comments) and he states that powder is best.

I will look into that myself and see what the options are.

    • How often do you clean the dishwasher filter? If that isn't done every week or two it impacts performance considerably

      • Weekly.

  • +2

These are individually wrapped tablets which adds a lot to plastic pollution. Recommend the Colesworth/Aldi dish washing powder which is $3.90 for 1kg. You can vary the amount of soap you use based on the load and also sprinkle a little bit in for the prewash cycle for a better clean.

    Obligatory Technology Connections video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rBO8neWw04

    • How many washes do you roughly get with 1KG powder?

  • side topic - when i check via Kmart's own link to this OnePass sale thing, it seems to only show 49 products available under the offer? I've checked all filters and categories, but that seems to be it? Surely that can't be right …
    https://www.kmart.com.au/onepass-weekend/

    • +1

      Yes the sale is tiny.

  • +2

Worst breath mint ever. Takes ages to dissolve and frothed at the mouth for 90minutes. I want my money back.

    • frothed at the mouth for 90minutes

Never had that issue. You might have rabies. See a doctor.

  • my order got shipped and auspost website shows it shipped from catch

  • Ordered yesterday, got refund notification this morning saying that they are oos.

  • My online order just got canceled

    • Interesting, my order was cancelled/refunded because “We're sorry, all item(s) are unavailable”, and I saw they didn’t allow adding item to cart this morning, but now website shows plenty of stock across Victoria. I wonder if placing a new order will eventually result in another cancellation. I can do C&C but hey I want to use perks of membership.

  • Don't bother these are useless.

5 years ago their basic ones have power ball but they removed it since then.

  • Guaranteed to be better than the Lucent Globe sheets I keep seeing in my feed…

  • +1

I don't recommend these, bought the 110 pack as well but they don't do the job properly, very cheap and poor results. I am still finding the right tablets after the Aldi's Logix Platinum were discontinued.

    • -1

Aldi one still around but formula is bit different, however I can't see any other choices

  • -2

down voting this not because it isnt a good deal but because i just got my order refunded yesterday - it doesnt bother me they 'oversold' but it bothers me it is still being advertised as a deal on the website

  • Doesn't look like they're bothering to put these in boxes, just slapping on a shipping label, so expect some tears. One of my boxes was ripped and borderline beyond holding the tablets any longer.

  • 10 days yet not received the item

Lodgement said by Couriers please, from bass Hill kmart

Not refunded yet and no updates don't know what to do

    • You should have got a tracking number. I'd start there. Next step would be call Support.

      • The tracking just shows its been lodged no other updates on couriers please…. I suppose I have to ping online chat if there's any at Kmart

      • Contacted them they say catch does the fulfilment however last update was 22nd September. If nothing buy this Friday then I can request refund heh
