    Jetstar worker quits over conditions, safety concerns

    The worker complaining about conditions on a budget airline. I think they are jealous because of the payouts and things quantas staff were getting and are making song and dance about it.

    Anyway there is not much need for flight attendants besides checking out the girls in the uniforms. They can just run a video instead and have a vending machine for people who want snacks.

    Ideally what should happen is a day course where you can learn the basics of flight attending, say 1 out of every 50 people have this certification, these people when they board a plane, they get a reduced fare ticket and during the flight they act as flight attendants. All the carrier needs to employ is a pilot and a security guard/overseaer

      The primary function of flight attendants is to ensure the safe operation of the plane and to assist in emergencies. Serving snacks is their secondary and much less important function.
