  • Seems they havent updated the PDF in the link yet. Still shows last weeks specials

    • Not for me, try refresh?

Can you just use the coupons from the pdf?

A very few people have reported in the past they have, but unlikely. safer to grab a paper - still cheap enough!

I've just printed out the PDF in the past and they have accepted it.

    • The PDF has cut here marks around the coupon area so I don't see why they wouldn't accept it.

      • I'm not sure that they'd care about cut marks on a pdf print when considering whether to price match… if the pdf is just a soft copy of the add in the paper then this would explain why.

If GWS will honor the pdf coupon (and no reason why they wouldn't - it gets you in the store), then Dan's / first choice should too. Of course you would need to know that GWS will before arguing the point for price match.

Get wines definitely take a print out - however the Dans located a stones throw from GWD will not take a print out, they cite the "need an original print ad" chestnut. So if you wanna go to dans - you gotta buy a paper.

Incidently, I've never bought a herald sun, but whenever I see one at a coffee shop or doctors surgery or whatever on a Wednesday - the GWD ad is never in there lol.. must be popular!

  • Anyone able to tell me if Boddingtons is any good?

    • +1

It's quite a heavy ale. Traditional bitter style from the UK.

Not for you if you are more of a lager drinker, like Heineken, Carlsberg etc..

    • It's very nice if your into English ales. Similar to Kilkenny so if you like that you'll like Boddingtons

  • That's an amazing price for Boddington's. Dan's have it for $78/case. Hoegaarden is $55/case at Dan's, but all out of stock near me.

  • Wow Hoegaarden!? FABULOUS!!
I reckon my local DM will claim it's out of stock though. Will try tonight!

  • Anyone know if the GWD Hoegaarden is imported or brewed in Aus?

    • +1

Its Imported. Almost all of the GWD beers is imported.

    • Hoegaarden from GWD, DM and 1st are all imported.

  • Wow, that is a great price for Hoegaarden.

  • Anybody try it in NSW?

    • Price matches normally need to be within 10km of the store advertising the cheap deal.

Get wines sold out on Hoegarden!

I got the last slab of Boddingtons from Chelsea Heights Vic. Is it my imagination or do the staff there have an attitude when you hand over the coupon?

    • Although they have a price match policy, they hate abiding by it. Particularly when it comes to GWD coupons.

  • Dammmn that price for Boddingtons is excellent just dont live in Vic :(

  • Got all the way to Richmond and they had sold out of the Hoegaarden. All the places along the way had also sold out (aka happy to lie to my face).

    • Dude, try looking at store stock online @ Dan murphys. I looked online in the 3000 postcode and surrounding area, and none had stock.

  • Tried Dan Murphys's in Forest Hill and they said "their Boddington's is Pub ale and not the same type as GWD" so I couldn't get the deal :(
    Are they bullsh*tting me?

  • Excuse my ignorance, but I went through 80 pages of todays herald sun thrice and was unable to find the gwd ad. Just wondering if somebody could tell me which page is the ad :)

    • +1

It's at the back of the TV section - Page 16

      • Thanks mate! The secret was the missing TV guide :)
