Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance ATX Tempered Glass Case $139 + Delivery (Free NSW/VIC Pickup) @ Scorptec

620

Well worth the extra $20 over the older Lancool II case that just got posted. Free shipping Aus wide (ends midnight tonight) and no CC/PayPal surcharge.

Was a popular deal last time it was posted for the same price.

Scorptec seem to be running these $100+ spend free shipping promos often lately, so if you don't buy tonight for whatever reason, the promo may be on again next week.

They also have the optional USB-C cable available for $25.

Update 17/5: Removed expiry and edited title, no longer free delivery but free pickup still available in NSW and VIC.

      I prefer no RGB, personally.

      • +1

The nonRGB fans are better as well.

      • +1

Is it because Non-RGB got bigger fan size but only 2 and RGB version got 3 fans but smaller size?

Or is it because of other non-fan reason?

Important for me coz I am in the market for a new PC.

  • +4

I have this case and it’s def recommend it.

    • +2

As do I and I too would likewise recommend this case.

    • +1

Same here. Have performance version non-rgb. Very happy with it.

      • Likewise. Very happy with this case. What fan setting do you guys use? Auto or leave it on high?

        • likewise, excellent case :)

    • How do you find airflow to hdd Bay?

      • amazing if you move the fans over - decent if you don't

      • +2

I have this case. The front fan rack is adjustable, so i moved the x2 140mm as high as it could and put a 120mm Noctua nf a12x25 at the front which cools the HDD bay.

TBH the HDD bay probably doesn't need it especially considering its winter, but does def help in summer.

    • How's the noise level with this case? I've seen some reviews and they all indicate it's a tad loud

      • fans are loud at medium to high - very quiet at low (you can just replace them)

        • I want a quiet PC. Ordered a Fractal Design Define 7 Compact that I'm yet to pick up. Tossing up between cancelling my order on that and getting this with new fans instead

[Edit] The issue with Define 7 is that airflow isn't great, which I'm completely aware of. So I've also ordered some noctua fans.

      • I've got the RGB version, cause I couldn't get a non RGB white case, it has 3x 120mm fans on the front rather than 2x 140mm fans and to be honest during general usage, some gaming etc i can hardly hear the fans. If the TV is on in the background I have to lean over to the case to actually hear any noise.

    • I have this case also. I was able to put 2x140mm and 1x120 fans on the front.

  • the only complaint i have is the loud fans. The arctic fans felt alot quieter than the stock fans.

    • Is that just an issue with stock fans? Easy fix by swapping with noctua fans?

      • Isn't this case aim for a budget build, noctua is way too expensive

  • I also have this case and I'd also def recommend it.

  • Just wondrring, when do y'all buy new cases? Obs you already have a case. If not buying new gear, why change to new?
If buying new gear, why not keep old case?

I'm on this really old antec quiet case. Everyhting inside has been changed a few times, inc the fans to quiet ones. Each time I upgrade, it's only bits n pieces, so I never upgraded the whole thing or changed the case.

I duno if new cases do anything for me, but some extra front ports woud be nice.

    • I still have the lian li case my girlfriend bought me in November 2002. A few screws are stuck in it and i don't have the screws to put more hard drives in but i can't bring myself to replace it. Also, no rust. All aluminium.

Hopefully drill out some of the stuck threads and get another ten years out of it.

      • Also because I already bought nice fans, I don't want a new case where I'm payig for some fans too.
The new stuff seems nicer for modular whatever, but I really just build once and leave it…

I guess also my case is 18cm wide. All new ones are 22+. I have 4 empty 5.25" bays, and 2 empty 3.5" bays. Why would I want a bigger case? It's weird, I want smaller if anything.

When would u throw a case out then?

        • I am in the same situation as you. Been using the same case over a decade but didn't really have any reason to throw it out. But that will probably change in the next parts upgrade because future gen 3slot GPUs will make my case obsolete as it only has a 305mm clearance. There's literally only 5-6 cards (3080s and 6800s) from this generation that will fit in my case. Its a Silverstone Raven 02 and was one of the pricier cases in its time.

    • I bought a new case because the one that i had only for a few years have not much airflow and its quite loud. and it used to have rbg which i dont really care about anymore as i only care about acoustic right now. loud cases hurts my ears.

      • My case has dampening material on the cover. I see new cases are glass, whcih would transmit noise? Seems to me quiet isn't so much a thing as it was before.

    • well my current case suck for the rtx 3090 and it have too much heat inside, and definitely needs new case with plenty airflow which in this case would be better for it.

my current case is Thermaltake Versa J24 RGB Edition
change to Lian-Li Lancool II Mesh Performance will bring temp down with the 3090 gpu

but again scorptec seems to be costing $205 delivered where umart would be $194 delivered for same case :-/

  • Anyone has compared this one with the recently released Fractal Design Meshify 2 and Meshify 2 Compact? I just wonder if it’s worth paying extra for the Fractal Design Meshify 2?

  • Too bad Lian Li don't make full aluminium cases anymore. I'm still using an old Lian Li PC-7FNW, but don't want to downgrade to an aluminium+steel case.

    • I used to have Lian Li PC60, absolutely loved it, it was such high quality. Haven't had anything that compares since.

  • -1

Why buy this over 275r airflow or icue 220t

  • Should I buy it now if I'm planning to build a PC late this year/ early next year? or would it be cheaper by then?

    • Should rather waiting for Black Friday sales

  • Best case I have built in by far, would jump at this price if I didn't have it already

  • This case is amazing! Can't recommend it highly enough.

  • What is the optional USB-C cable available for $25 for? What am I missing here?

  • Is it normal for PC cases to have $55+ shipping wtf?
