Nice backpack, more expensive than previous deals - but still a great buy IMO at this price.

  • Got mine delivered in 4 days. Very good bag and free shipping :)

  • Decent bag, Picked one up with last year's Amazon deal.
There are a decent amount of compartments to organize things. The rainbow effect isn't too pronounced.

Does this fit a G7 nicely? The other deal last month barely fit a G7 :(

Yes, I have G7 17in and it fits perfectly

    • I'm interested to know which bag you got last month that didn't fit the G7.

      • This one : Dell Gaming Lite Backpack 17-GM1720PE. Barely fit a G7 17” model.

        • Great. Thanks for the info.

  • Thanks. I got one for my star tracker :)

  • I bought the Essentials for $12. Its very well made and light weight, especially at that price. However, I'd like a second bag with a few more pockets for when I've got lots of small bits and pieces with me. Unfortunately, the Dell website isn't good for showing what pockets and compartments there are.
I'm wondering how the Gaming bag compares with the Pro Slim that is roughly the same price? Can anyone that has either comment on the number of pockets/compartments etc?
Also, I see that @ihfree doesn't find the rainbow pattern too bad. How do others find it? Does it look professional or does the pattern only really suit a gamer?

    • It has a partially hidden zip up pocket about the size of a standard wallet at the front. It has 2 zip up pockets (one on top of and the other inside the top cover) about the size of a large cheque book. It has a loop strap inside the main compartment to hang your headset and apart from that it has two padded compartments for a laptop and I'd say a 10-12 inch tablet. It has two mesh bottle / umbrella holders on both the sides and a chest strap. The main cavity is deep enough for me to store my headset case, large 800 m.l. Musashi shaker, standard sized tiffin box and a A4 sized textbook (with some room to spare). The material is premium and quality is awesome for a backpack which costs short of 40 bucks. It is comfortable to wear for an hour or so. I also has a rain cover stored in a zip up compartment at the bottom of the bag. The colors are easy to ignore, it looks like a mix of very faint Lilac / grey in normal light (you should be safe if you work in a place where blokes aren't shy of wearing Lilac shirts).
