It’s hard to find stock for this item. If you have Amex card combine with the 15% discount offer bring it down to $126.65.
RRP 169 if anyone wonders.
Because of supply shortages (likely covid demand related) it typically sells for closer to $250 on ebay/Amazon.
Not a bad deal.
yeh, this is hard to get now…
Have they stopped making it?
according to the Lego Shop at Chadstone, yes
Seems a bit fast. Didn't the reissue come out just at the end of last year?
He said the the Saturn V rocket and Ship in a Bottle were re-issued for a single production run. Seemed pretty confident.
It's still current according to Lego.com, but just on back order. It probably sold out in many markets due high covid demand.
The older 21309 set is now discontinued despite looking identical. It was also 1969 pieces, so I'm not sure what the differences were.
One piece different. Improved a connection
@justtoreply: Made it safer?
@justtoreply: Is this an Apollo 1 reference…
@fedaykin: Dunno. Presumed ash2000 was making a joke
easter egg for you. Apollo 11 was launched in 1969. This set has 1969 pieces.
Sold out. Had a friend help use their Amex, it was sold out on their laptop, but still had one in my cart so managed to use their card. Order went through, have received email confirmation, so fingers crossed they had reserved the one I had in my cart while I was going through checkout, otherwise I'd be expecting a cancellation.
I just placed an order. Seemed to go through ok.
Will wait and see if it’s confirmed.
And just received order cancellation…
