    • Yeah not seeing it reduce here either… In my cart ready to checkout but price still $38.99

    • Only working on browser, not the mobile app it appears.

  • Can vouch for this one with a Note 9. Works great - sturdy with the vent clip support.
Even automatically lets the phone off the clamps once you turn ignition off.
Make sure you have a 12v USB Car adaptor that can output the fast changing.

  • I paid $32.xx recently on eBay (with vouchers) via the Baseus Official Store. I also bought another Baseus model for $18.95…

Generally speaking - I would prefer the $18.95 model. The more expensive one has a motorised hold mechanism that doesn’t work properly. You also need to physically pull the phone out when power is cut to the cigarette socket (or wherever you are getting your power from). The more expensive model does look good when it works.

If you have a euro car (like a BMW) that has an extended power-on function to the Cigarette socket, you may experience some issues with the more expensive unit - there’s like a protection circuit of some sort that keeps the unit on for a while and then kills the power whilst the cigarette socket is on. Once the power is killed, you have to unplug the unit to reset it b4 it works again. I am not sure if it’s just a faulty unit or not.

My feedback is just that - your circumstances may be different.

    • Forgot to add:

I am using an iPhone - this Qi charging doesn’t feel fast…better than nothing, but when u really need the juice, nothing beats the trustworthy iPhone cable plugged directly to the cigarette socket (with a high wattage cigarette socket USB adaptor).

      • With the cheaper one that you linked, do you only need to drop the phone in to get it to clamp down? Then pull upwards to remove it?

I reckon these automatic/electric ones are a bit silly, I would imagine that they are pretty loud too. Would still like the convenience of mounting the phone quickly and easily though

    • I have this as well and works well with a OnePlus 8pro. Recognises it as wireless fast charging when using an appropriate 12v cigarette adapter.
in regards to the motor mechanism i had my doubts initially but it has held up well now and i've had it for at least 6 months (12 months warranty i think). It does auto-release when the power is cut, so if you pull the usb the arms will open. Also there is a button on the back top right corner (when its facing you) that you can press that will also open the arms. This was not clearly identified in the documentation that comes with the package but i figured it out after a bit of trial and error.

  • Also, this won't work/fit with Samsung S21 Ultra. Infact, none of their product line fit.

Don't buy Baseus. They avoid all accountability when it comes to warranty claims. https://thecodeninja.net/2021/05/never-buy-a-baseus-product/
