Free 6x Hot Rods with Any Shared Meal Delivery @ KFC App

121

Saw a pop-up in the app advertising free Hot Rods with delivery of any shared meal (when ordering through KFC app). The shared meals are:

-$27.95 Mixed Feast
-$31.95 Burger Feast
-$33.95 Family Feast
-$36.95 Delivery Feast
-$46.95 Giant Feast

It should say "With Free Hot Rods" in the title when ordering. Apparently it's 6 hot rods according to Frugal Feeds.

Unfortunately my local doesn't offer delivery and there's no offer when you pick up. Anyway, enjoy…

I like the hot "rod" naming convention…

What are 'hot rods' - not that crapy thigh meat I hope?

    •

They remind me of skewer kebabs.. Not bad honestly for what it is.

Is KFC giving us a sick AF sub-9 second drag monster? No? So what the heck is it then?

Pricing is a bit bullcrap, for example:
    mixed feast (pick up) $24.95
mixed feast (delivered) $27.95 + $8.95 delivery fee

Why is exact same item $3 more when you choose delivery option, when you're paying for delivery anyway?

    •

Probably because it costs more than $8.95 for the labour of delivering food to your door, but they don't want to put $11.95 delivery fee, so they "hide" that $3 in the food price.

Ah so increase each item a couple of dollars = more profit, got it

Nice catch. They probably rely on duping stupid people like me who don't check and would never know.

Could argue it's more stupid to think that prices wouldn't be higher via delivery since you're paying for the convenience + labour costs + whatever % doordash is obviously taking a cut of by allowing KFC to use their service.

These guys are messed up. I placed an order for delivery for my parents house, drove over there for dinner with the folks. Waited 50 minutes and then they cancelled the order saying they ran out of some of the items. How the hell does it take 50 minutes to figure out you dont have some of the items? Greenacre store NSW
