  • Thanks! Heaps cheaper than LC here.. In fact I bought a Chasseur which will now be returned.

  • Great price - ordered!

Currently $326 at Peters of Kensington http://www.petersofkensington.com.au/Public/Le-Creuset-Satin…

  • Thanks, nice deal.

Interestingly, I noticed that Amazon UK free shipping to Australia has now finished. "Free Super Saver Delivery to Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa on eligible orders over £25 was offered for a trial period on orders placed up to and including January 19, 2012 (GMT)."

    • -1

The free shipping has been for selected items such as books and dvds…

      • Yes, I agree. I only intended that as a supplementary comment as I just noticed it this morning. The James Bond set that I pre-ordered still has the free shipping attached to it but I was about to make another order this morning when I noticed the new policy.

Pity that they must have decided that it was not worthwhile (or had served its purpose to increase the customer base).

That's hilarious, someone negged me for that comment. Not you was it, Hubbles?

  • thanks great price, got one

  • Thanks for posting, I have been wanting one of these. I can't wait to slow cook some goat.

  • +1

its cheaper to get 2 (see if you can split an order with someone).

    postage for 1 - 22 pounds

postage for 2 - 24 pounds (so i got 2 which ends up been 139 pounds or under 70 pounds each)

    • How did you get a total of 139 pounds for two?

      £69.30 x 2 = £138.60

      £138.60 + £24 shipping = £162.60

Or are you just saying that for another £2 you can get a second one shipped?

      EDIT
Nevermind, I tihnk I've figured it out. I just went through the checkout process and the price is cheaper for us since we don't pay VAT.

  • Found this which also looks a good price Le Creuset Cast Iron Square Grillit, Granite, 26 cm, £48.30 and as pointed out by ynot1985, the shipping cost only increases by 1 or 2 pounds

  • Great deal, ordered one.

Had a mini heart attack when I saw the 20cm round casserole for the same price and thought I'd ordered the wrong one.

  • ordered 5 (group order with people at work), which is the maximum amount. works out to be around $95 each!!!

cheaper than the teal ones from the last deal (around $140 for 1, we paid $110 each for 4).

  • When I got back, Why does it say ?

    RRP: £155.00
    Price: £131.75

Edit: Oh thats Harts of Stur, not amazon price.

    • that's the item from a different seller. on the right hand side, you should see an option to purchase from amazon uk itself, for 69.30.

  • Order one for £80.33 delivered. Thanks, rockpeblar.

  • if you want to bake bread in the le creuset, you might want to add one of these stainless steel replacement knobs to your order. the safe-touch plastic knob that comes with the le creuset is only rated up to 190 degrees, whereas the stainless steel knob is rated up to 230 degrees, which lets you go that little bit extra for baking.

Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available. This item has now been cancelled from your order <snip> and we can confirm that you have not been charged for it."

    WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! T_T

  • I received that email too, even though it is still shown as being in stock. I doubt Le Creuset has stopped making them suddenly after 86 years.

I sent a strongly worded email telling them to complete my order, I hope my fellow ozbargainers do the same.

  • Ditto me. What a gyp. As if they didn't underprice it and then couldn't cope with the demand.

  • The reply I received to my strongly worded email:

I'm sorry to hear that your order for "Le Creuset Cast Iron Round Casserole, Granite, 28 cm" has been cancelled.

When we contacted the supplier for an update they informed us that they won't be able to source this item.

We had planned on receiving this item from our supplier. I apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused.

I hope that you would understand that being the retailers we are totally dependent on our suppliers for the supply. Please note we are unable to source products from third party sellers that may have stock of this item on our site.

As we can't supply this item, it has been cancelled from your order and you have not been charged for it. Cancelled orders no longer appear in your order history.

If you would still like this item it might be available from a third party seller on Amazon.co.uk Marketplace. An item being offered for sale by third-party sellers will be indicated by a blue box marked "More Buying Choices" on the product's information page.

I hope this helps. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

  • I got the same email :(

  • I think Amazon made a mistake with the delivery price. I had 5 on order which worked out to like $100 each delivered.

So today I tried to order two different ones at pounds 131 only to be told they don't ship these to Australia

Not even giving an option of paying extra for delivery

  • +1

    Faark… not impressed

The item was advertised as in stock.. Not pre-order so they shouldnt be advertising an item they dont have.

    Bait and switch.. Dodgy

  • I received similar messages too. I specifically asked them to substitute the colour with any other colour in stock but they refused.

I tried doing a dummy order on Amazon's normal prices and did not have any problem like hooray did with delivery to Australia. Just make sure the seller is Amazon, not a third party seller. Or in this case, maybe avoid Amazon. So disappointed, I had 3 on order.

  • Apologies guys that the deal didn't come off. I ordered some other heavy cooking items in the same order and these arrived a few days later after the order. Was looking forward to getting this as well. A similar thing happened with ipods on Amazon about 5 years ago. Loads of people ordered and then they cancelled everyones order. There was a huge backlash and everyone who had placed an order got a £20 e-voucher to use on Amazon.

    • Not your fault mate. Thanks for spotting it in the first place.

  • If anyone sees "Amazon EU S.a.r.L" selling these in the future please let us know and we might be able to get them to match this deal.

    • +1

Its back in stock with Amazon UK (same as EU SarL). So much for discontinued. I managed to get them to honour this deal. Give it a go although they tried to tell me it was at their discretion.

      • You're lucky. I got shot down :(

        • same here. only an offer of free express shipping (still over twice the price it should have been!).
