Parents asked me to buy some dishwashing liquid as we were running low, so popped onto Amazon to see my last dishwashing liquid order and came across this.

    thanks!
I have been looking for this in my local woolies, seems they are no longer selling this..

  • Made in Phillipines, anyone noticed?

    • +2

I'll let you know where they're made when I get them delivered tomorrow

      • +3

The 3 I received today is made in UK not Philippines. Also the image of the product having clear bottle and green liquid is not correct. I got grey colour non clear bottles.

        • +1

I also got four UK made ones with the silver/grey bottles. These are the same as the ones that I ordered back in November.

          • +1

@kerfuffle: Nice. Those are the ones I'm looking for.

            Thank you.

My ones are made in Philippines now. They are so much worse than the made in UK ones we have. These just don't clean anymore

      • I don't understand how this happens surely it's the same formula

    • +3

I bought these and they’re still showing made in the UK.

    • +1

Just received one today, Made in UK.

  • Is this better than ultra that are selling in wws/ Coles?

    • I used to only use fairy, but now I just buy whatever smells nice and is cheap. Lately I've been using the Coles Ultra Lychee & Lime Blossom, it smells nice to me. If I see fairy or Palmolive half price at the shops I only sometimes get them.

  • +1

Is it better than Aldi/Whoolies 900 ml products at similar price?

  • +1

Thanks OP! It hasn't been stocked by W/W & Coles for a while now.

I usually use the one in the silver bottle; hopefully this meets the parent approval and is basically the same thing but in a transparent bottle …

      • +1

Silver bottle felt like it has better grease cutting performance

Halfway through my latest clear bottle.

Let me know how you find it.

        • Is your latest clear bottle also the Platinum one?

          • +1

@kerfuffle: I wish they wouldn't stuff around with the colours and the bottles. The green one used to be the original formula and the grey one was the stronger platinum formula. Now the green one has the words "platinum" and "original" on them. I've been avoiding the green one thinking it wasn't as good as the grey one. Now I just don't know what I think. Then there's the whole "Ultra-concentrate" vs "3x" thing. What does that even mean?

            • @endotherm: I solved that problem by not buying it at all. I used to be a big fan, but the quality and cleaning power has dropped off in a big way over the past year or so. The stuff is rubbish now. Have a look at the Choice review too (for what it's worth); Fairy is way down the list.

Also, I tried the "Ultra Concentrate" and found it was worse than the Platinum.

              • @ak47wong: Choice picked morning fresh…. I found it no better than using water… oil would still be on pots ever scrubbing for ages… YMMV

      • +1

I noticed the bottle rebrand however it now looks so similar to the Fairy Ultra Concentrate version.

        parent approval …

        Is that a thing? 😉

        • +2

I don't want my parents bitching that the dishwashing liquid sucks for the next year lol

          • +1

@kerfuffle: lol …they're a tough crowd at the best of times

  • What does the Original smell like?

  • +2

Rated in a recent review as being worse than water to clean with

    • Respectfully disagree! I reckon this is one of the better dishwashing liquid brands.

      • +2

Is this based on recent purchase experience? It seems their formulation has changed, for the worse.

(Our current bottles are Made in UK and seem to be great)

  • +3

If these aren't the original, being from the UK or Germany, they will be absolutely horrid.

I've bought 2 and will report back.

Does anyone know whether they've completely shifted to the 'new' product being made in the Philippines or are the original products still being manufactured?

    • +1

I just got my delivery, 2nd time in three months, confirmed made in UK and do the job well.

      • Also confirmed silver bottle made in UK. Will stock up next time.

  • +1

Amazon lost my last order for this.

I've noticed that fairy platinum is about as effective as what normal fairy was 5+ years ago and normal fairy is now worse than morning fresh. /Conspiracy

  • Thanks
