  • Targeted~~~

  • I got spend $50 get $10

  • No offer for me.

  • +4

Got spend $100 get $20 cashback

  • Showing $40-10 banner, but $100-10 offered inside

  • I get nothing

  • Spend $200 get $20 here

  • Spend $50 get $20 in Commbank notifications then reverted to spend $150 get $30 when i clicked through. Of course the original notification has now disappeared

    • Mine was showing spend $40 and get $10 and when I clicked on it, it changed to spend $100 and get $10 :/

  • what cards do people get these offers on? I dont even know where these offers come up!

    • In the same boat. I can't find the location to check out the rewards being offered. What card is this for?

      • +2

This is for a debit card that comes with Commonwealth Bank NetBank Saver. It is free to open but you need to deposit $2000 per month, and can withdraw immediately by OSKO, or will be charged an account fee. Must use the card to purchase.

  • I received $40 off for a $200 spend

    Assuming online shopping is included?

    • It should work as long as you use the card but you run the risk that items out of stock will result in your order being under the required amount. If your offer is to be completed in one shop you will not get the bonus otherwise you could top up in-store.

      • You could opt to have items replaced if OOS

        • True but quite often they say there is no suitable substitution.

  • Does anyone know whether if you save the reward on a main Commbank card, the supplementary card gets the reward too?

Or does each supplementary card need to get the app and save the card themselves?

  • I checked my phone app and didnt see any coles offer :(

  • Will this work online too?

    • It should work as long as you use the card but you run the risk that items out of stock will result in your order being under the required amount. If your offer is to be completed in one shop you will not get the bonus otherwise you could top up in-store.

Best to read the eligible criteria. Mine says this deal only valid for in-store purchases.

      • +1

Where is the eligibility criteria? Mine doesn't mention anything about in-store only so hoping it includes online

        • +1

It's via my CommBank iPhone app.

          • Logon to the app and then from the home screen, scroll down and click on the CommBank Rewards option
          • Then click on your reward and click on the yellow Activate button. Click Done after that to close the window..
          • Then back on the Rewards screen, click on the Activity tab from the top menu and then click on the Coles reward to see its details.
          • You will see the Eligibility TCs under the Next Steps section. (click on the down arrow next to it to expand the Eligibility details if not already expanded).

My details says things like, can only be claimed once; in one transaction; cannot use Afterpay, Zip and PayPal; not in conjunction with other offers; excludes voucher codes, gift cards, cash back and coupon deals; and offer cannot be exchanged for cash and last condition is it must be for in-store purchases only.

Your specific offer and conditions could be different to mine.

          • @PoorFromOzBargains: Thank you so much for letting me know as it turns out (with mine anyway) that it is for in-store purchases only so I wouldn't have been eligible as I get my groceries delivered.

  • Got nothing but my bro got $60 for $200 spend.

  • Just curious how commbank would know if we purchased gift cards in store for it to not be an eligible purchase

    • +2

I have had similar offers for Myer from Westpac purchased GC and received the bonus.

  • Anyone know if iTunes or Google play store gift card purchase is eligible? $100 iTunes gift card then $20 cashback?

  • Will it work on Coles Myer gift card?

  • Merged from Commbank Rewards - $60 Cashback with $200 Spend at Coles

    Most likely targeted

Spend must be made in 1 transaction.

Didn't get this but I just got spend $200 for $30 and $100 for $20 recently. Went to purchase Ebay Giftcards.

      • +1

so purchasing giftcards at coles will get the cashback as well ?

        • +4

I don't believe Cashback gets to see what you spend your money on at Coles.

          • @chrism238: Exactly, they just see spending and if it meets the minimum amount that's it.

    • Didn't get either

    • +1

I got one a few days ago in the Commbank app which was spend $150 at Coles, get $30 back

Had to scroll down main page on app and go into the 'commbank rewards' section to activate

    • Does gift card purchases qualify for cashback?

      • +3

Yes, have done this twice recently and a few times last year.

        • Thanks mate

    • +2

      Mines $10 on $100 spend

    • What does it mean when it says, "Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Excludes voucher codes, gift cards, cash back and coupon deals."

At the end of the day, they just see your transaction at Coles right? So buying GC is fine? If this is the case, I missed out on the past rewards!

      • I'd imagine that the whole purpose of these deals are they use your shopping data to decipher information about shopping habits (age, location, time, spend, items, gender).

I would be surprised if CBA or Coles were not sharing detailed information for these type of events (this is basically the whole purpose of FlyBys and so on).

      • +1

yeah that exclusion confused me too… but now I read it as you can't use "voucher codes, gift cards, cash back and coupon deals" in conjunction with the purchase on the CBA card, as opposed to buying "voucher codes, gift cards, cash back and coupon deals" themselves on the CBA card. Esp since you can't really 'buy' cashbacks. e.g. if you were to partially use a voucher/coupon and the rest on the CBA card, or purchase something via another cashback app with the CBA card, it won't work (i think) ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I got Cue, Mr Roses, Pet Circle, A-B, Betts, Youfoodz all the useless retailers.

    • i got $20 for over $100

    • Refer to my previous comment if you don't know where to find the eligibility criteria or terms and conditions of your reward offer: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/625725#comment-10530329

This sucks, I got 5 for 100 spend, and because I redeemed that one successfully, I don't think commonwealth bank is now giving me Coles as reward anymore.

      • I doubt that's the case, as I successfully redeemed a spend $100 get $10 one a while back, and just got the exact same one a few days ago which I also redeemed.

You might get another one eventually.

  • No offer for me but see the other ones (youfoodz, dominos etc.)

  • I think i already know the answer but liquorland not included?

  • +1

Random thought, would a purchase and the rest cash out work? I'll give it a go and get back to everyone.

  • +2

For those wanting to stock up on Amazon gift cards in preparation for Prime day - yes this does work with gift cards. Got the confirmation today about the $10 bonus

    • +1

These have always worked on gift cards for me. I had the $60 back on $200 spend making a nice 30% discount on the $200 worth of amazon cards.

      • Yes I'm aware. But this time in the T&C's it stated they were excluded

  • fuk, i didn't notice the "in-store only" condition and just picked up my $220 online click and collect order 🤦

  • Received my $10 for Coles purchase. Spent $100 on ColesMastercard, used another card for the rest. Took 3 days. Keep it up Commonwealth. Great PR after their numerous horrendous business practices as detailed in the Royal Commission.
